"Been craving some Seoul-food and having lived in Gangnam, I was thrilled to find this spot. My grandparents and I would order the black bean sauce noodles (jajang-myun) and the sweet & sour pork (tangsuyuk) for lunch and it would arrive by bike from the neighborhood restaurant. People in Seoul have been 'door dashing' since the 80s. While not what I'd get there, it's the closest I've come here in the Bay. The jajang sauce is balanced, not too sweet, just thick enough to grab hold of the noodles, and the pork in the sauce was tender and big enough to be noticed; not dried out and minced. The myun was the right thickness and chewiness to carry the sauce into my mouth. The tangsuyuk was crispy and delicious on its own, but held up to the sauce well. This is not Chinese sweet & sour; this is a bit more restrained and delicate in flavor. Just right to accent the tempura-like pork strips. Small is plenty enough for 3-4 people, especially if you're ordering the noodles or other dishes, too. The jajangmyun portion was enough for two or three meals for me. Next time I'll try the ganpoongi (fried chicken) with the noodles."
