"Varam is a new Indian place, haven't tried in person, but just tried on Door dash for the first time. I ordered two Biryanis and loved them both! The Golconda Kofta Biryani is amazing! This biryani had minced goat koftas shaped around a hard boiled egg (think Scotch eggs, if you don't know what a kofta is). The kofta is pretty large and you get two kofte in the dish. The biryani was very flavorful and also spicy, and the minced goat was incredibly delicious and tender. Loved it, will definitely order again. The Potlam Chicken Biryani was also super delicious, it's an egg-wrapped biryani with spicy boneless chicken pieces. Also very good, the chicken was tender and juicy. Will be ordering both of these dishes again!"

"I tried the Shrimp Biryani, Chicken 65 Bezule, Garlic Naan, and in a previous order, I tried the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani. Everything except the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani was very, very good. All dishes tasted very flavorful, and fresh. Portion sizes were also very good. They were all very spicy. The chicken Chicken 65 Bezule and shrimp in the Shrimp Biryani were juicy and delicious, and chicken bezule pairs very well with Garlic Naan. The only BIG disappointment was the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani. It was extremely dry, completely flavorless, and lacked salt. All the other dishes I've tried at this restaurant are so good, I would recommend the chef to rework the Chicken Dum Biryani. Hard to believe it was so disappointing. But 10/10 would order from here again."

The Beef Samosa is delicious as always, but I tasted a raisin for the first time (not fond of raisins with savory meals, but it is still delicious). The beef samosas are spicy. The rice was very fresh and delicious, the restaurant was great, and followed all my 'asks,' written in my comments. The Kheer dessert and the Gulab Jamun mixed together are amazing. The kids loved their mango lassis. Success once again, we will definitely order again. Garlic Naan fantastic as well. "

"I have been ordering multiple times from here but last night, my order was disappointing. The chicken biryani was definitely not very fresh and the masala was too strong. I had ordered dum rice a few weeks ago and they went perfectly with butter chicken but this time, they packed some veg biryani with strong masala and gave as dum rice. The quantity of butter chicken was reduced during this order. I have been ordering from here for the last two years, and this is unacceptable, especially at exorbitant doordash prices they charge. The entire order is $10 cheaper if ordered through their website and picked up. I was hoping that their quality would never suffer, but this was a disappointing experience!"

"The Tawa Fish Fry that I ordered was spicy qhen I had requested mild and they were very thinly sliced for$17 dollars. Mutton Curry/Kozhambu was very flavorful bUT unfortunately I had 3 pieces of the Mutton and two pieces were all bone. I wunderstand have given these 2 dishes a higher rating but unfortunately I had a coupleof issues. The Fish Curry Leaf Fry was excellent. very flavorful and just the right mildness that I could thorougly enjoy it. The Egg/Muttai Varuval was also flavorful. I would have loved to give it a 4 star buti didn't think theTawa Fish and Mutton Curry deserved it."

"44. Chicken Karahi was a 2.5/5. It had a lot of oil just dripping out but most importantly lacked any rich flavor to go along with it. Tandoori paneer was a 2/5. The paneer had very little flavor again. The good thing was that the order was fast but that doesn't compensate for the taste. I would recommend looking at similar dishes from Mantra India from Mountain view to see how you can improve both your dishes. They are my favorite."

I chose medium spicy and I'd say they got that on the ball. it wasn't too spicy and I could handle it, but it's just so subjective. they also gave some raita 'just in case'. I'm glad I chose the right spice level. the Okra Masala was full of okra and it was so delicious. I didn't feel any of the slimeyness okra can add. it was moist and yummy! the Chicken Biryani was great too. I'm glad I didn't have to dig all the way to the bottom to get any chicken. I found some just under the top of the rice. you can really taste all the levels of flavor and care that went into the dish. the Vegetable Samosa came as a pair, and although the flavor was really good, I only would wish it contained some potato pieces intact - it all seemed mushed. but as stated, it was still very tasty. The flavor was lacking it didnt really taste like mango but more like yogurt. The butter chicken was okay in flavor, ive had better but again the portion size was really small for a $20 plate. Not to mention they dont give you a side of rice you have to buy it and they dont even give you a complimentary naan. The saffron rice was also okay didnt really had much flavor and was a little hard. The samosas were good im surprised it came with two pieces, they do have more of a mash potato consistency. "
