The Florentine Benny, which cost $22, arrived looking as if it had been tossed without care into a clam-shell to-go tray. The spinach was overcooked and watery, which made the English muffin soggy. For a dish at this price point, the portion size was small, the presentation was sloppy, and the flavors were disappointing. Overall, it seems odd that for more than $20 per entrée, customers receive small portions, bland eggs, missing items, and poorly assembled dishes. That said, we’ve heard good things about The Breakfast Shoppe and would be willing to give them another try — perhaps this time dining in at the restaurant to see if the experience is better than delivery."
