The sauce is kinda meh, its still the cherry on top like most spring/summer roll dishes (maybe hoison-sauce type idk, tangy as they say). The P2. Well Done Brisket Pho broth is just a little towards the saltier side of pho. Even despite forgetting the bean sprouts (they wrote a sorry note), the brisket was nicely portioned, tender, and fatty along its edges. The noodles couldve been a tiny bit more portioned but maybe I felt this b/c of no bean sprouts. With 2 hoison, 2 sriracha packets, chopsticks, but no spoon (i didnt mind). With all of that said, considering this is their opening day this vender is a good convenient place for my delivery area. Banh Mi Thit Nuong | Grilled Sandwich was fresh and tasty (though I think I would order the other Banh Mi option next time for the pate), and the P1. Pho Dac Biet | Pho Special Combo was delicious and enough food for two servings! "This was my first time ordering from Wow Bao. I ordered the NEW Combo - Select a Bowl & 1 Egg Roll with the Kung Pao Chicken Bowl. The bowl tasted very good, but the serving size was very small. It only included a couple of small pieces of chicken with some onions, peppers, peanuts, and sauce on a relatively large bed of rice. (FYI, there were way more peanuts in my bowl than pieces of chicken.) Also, the Crispy Christmas Eggroll in my Combo was a bit overcooked/burnt on the one end and it was not actually crispy, but soft & somewhat mushy until I received it. I realize that can happen with delivery food - especially when it takes almost 90 minutes to get your food from the time you order it. I blame the driver for this, however - not the restaurant. I also ordered two Bao Buns (1 BBQ Pork and 1 Mongolian Beef) which were very good, but not very warm by the time they reached me. When I placed my order, I thought I might be ordering too much food for myself, but due to the serving sizes, my concerns were quickly put to rest. I do not know if I will order from Wow Bao again... Clearly homemade. Adding a Smokey flavor to it would put it at 10/10 for me. 8.6/10 Cole Slaw next. I’m picky on my Cole slaw. I either love or hate it. I don't like a vinegar tasting Cole slaw. This was not that. This was slightly sweet, slightly savory. A pretty even mix of the two. It tasted fresh. 9.1/10 Cornbread. Oh the cornbread. Let's start with 10/10. I went to pick it up and it fell apart. We love that. I took a bite and it's so rich in flavor, I was shocked. Is that cinnamon in the cornbread?! Whaaaaaaat??? 10/10 again. I’m debating ordering their cornbread for family outings and taking the credit.... shhhh Banana Pudding (Cup) was my final test. Flavor is great. Consistency is great. Two improvements for a 10/10 rating from me would be to package the wafers separately and add some more banana chunks. 8.8/10 I’m giving this place an overall 5/5 because it blew my expectations away.
