"So, you can immediately see in my photos that the meats in both the 16. Mandarin Spicy Chicken and 15. Sesame Shrimp are completely battered and deep fried. There is so much batter (and oil) that the meat pieces look like a donut or something you get from a bakery. This is a cheap way for the restaurant to add bulk to the dish while keeping the amount of meat the customer gets very small. If I had known this ( or if the menu had stated that ), I would not have ordered these dishes. The sauces are okay and there are some veggies, but the bulk of my $31 dollar meal is oil and batter. I'm never getting food from Szechuan Restaurant again."

No spice whatsoever (the spice scale only goes from medium to very spicy so I was cautious), almost no vermicelli, very few mushrooms, and little to no flavor. The lotus, additionally, came on the side so it did not cook in the soup at all and therefore wasn't worth paying for. Only good things about it was that lamb was plentiful and the pork blood sausage thing tasted good.
