"From the first time I visited Meiji to dine in, I knew this was a more expensive yet higher quality restaurant than the typical Chinese American fare. Do they cut their egg rolls diagonally, so they look bigger when only giving you two? Yes. But they're some of the most delicious Egg Roll I've had. Similarly the side Hot & sour soup is always excellent. Their Chongqing Chili Chicken could use a bit more Szechuan pepper spice, but is always a solid choice, and this is one of the few restaurants in the area that offers it. My only complaint is that with delivery, you can't specify what meat (or any meat) you get in your side Side Fried Rice, so I always recieve plain fried rice, but even plain it tastes decent. The food is always fresh whether eating in or getting delivery, and we always receive consistently good food from Meiji. Their sushi is great too, though we haven't tried their Hibachi. We usually order Meiji when we want something a little nicer than the usual Chinese takeout."

General Tso's Chicken 左宗鸡sauce has a nice kick. The Hot & Sour Soup 酸辣汤 is actually spicy with a sour kick! Lots of places either don't make it spicy, or its just tangy and not sour. Plus its absolutely loaded with ingredients, fresh veggies, bamboo, etc. Roast Pork Fried Rice 叉烧饭 is tasty without being too salty, and the pork is great. Way better than chicken.
