"As a sushi chef myself I can confidently say that Tokai is in my top 3 spots for sushi in SCV. The quality of the fish is very good. I appreciated the fact that they actually marinated the Ikura (salmon roe). Many sushi restaurants skip this step so you just end up eating salty salmon eggs. My only complaint is I think the marination proved to be a little too much on the sweet side. Other than that my meal was fantastic. I ordered the BAKED GREEN MUSSELS which are probably the best tasting ones in SCV. The red SURF CLAM SUSHI (1PC) which isn't for everyone but has always been one of my favorites. SEARED SALMON SUSHI (1PC) which was delicious. MONKFISH LIVER SUSHI (1PC) another one of those things that people don't normally order but it was also delicious and finally the SALMON ROE SUSHI (1PC). Already said what I didn't like about it but it was still good. "

Fall off the bone I wouldn't call it for the ribs. without the bbq sauce, everything was dry.everything looked like they weren't cooked unless that's how bbq supposed to look like. The meat was kind of tough like it's been sitting too long underneath the hot lamps too long. I would like to have my food freshly cooked, not to give me or anyone else whatever is left at the end of the day. I probably won't be ordering again a day ahead. we'll see if the combos get put back on the menu."
