"As a sushi chef myself I can confidently say that Tokai is in my top 3 spots for sushi in SCV. The quality of the fish is very good. I appreciated the fact that they actually marinated the Ikura (salmon roe). Many sushi restaurants skip this step so you just end up eating salty salmon eggs. My only complaint is I think the marination proved to be a little too much on the sweet side. Other than that my meal was fantastic. I ordered the BAKED GREEN MUSSELS which are probably the best tasting ones in SCV. The red SURF CLAM SUSHI (1PC) which isn't for everyone but has always been one of my favorites. SEARED SALMON SUSHI (1PC) which was delicious. MONKFISH LIVER SUSHI (1PC) another one of those things that people don't normally order but it was also delicious and finally the SALMON ROE SUSHI (1PC). Already said what I didn't like about it but it was still good. "

Slaw was nice and not overly sauced. Meal was packaged reasonably well for travel and sauce portions were more than reasonable in size and flavourful in taste. I say rice and garden salad, and they give me this tiny side of garden salad, hummus, which I hate, and rice. The hummus gets on everything, so I can't eat it. why do they keep doing that. the oil on the hummus gives the food a nasty taste, at least to me. they have done this to me 3 times and it sucks because I'm at work and have nothing else to eat."
