"Overall the best Cuban food I've had in a very long time. the chicken empanadas were tastey the beef and cheese empanadas was actually cheesy. the rice was seasoned to perfection. the only complaint was that a few of the sweet plantains were hard but they gave so much the few pieces didnt matter. delicious food and cheap too. "BEWARE this store has their system charging you double. it shows a base price of their lowest cost Tacos at $3.70 and it charges you that base price PLUS the cost of any selection after you select meat and sauce. since it says tacos i assumed it was making me buy two but nope they sell you one tiny asada taco for 7.84 (3.70+3.99) if this had tasted amazing i would not write this review and give them 1 star and instead i would call them and tell them of the error and just get a refund from dd for the difference. but these were not good. i ordered pastor and they were very tough strips of meat stewed too long in a thick sauce. the sauce is the only flavor of the meat and it tastes like grocery store taco seasoning. my son's asada was a bit better but still not bursting with flavor or moisture. this is how i would expect someone who had never had mexican tacos to make them if they bought meat and ortega seasoning and followed the directions to the letter. the guacamole was actually very good. the beans and rice were very plain with very little flavor. almost ecery place i have had tacos in my 50 years alive has had better beans and rice. the Churros just about broke my sons teeth. rock hard and soaked in grease these seemed like the consistency of stale pizza you microwaved too long and left to get cold before eating. i was sent garbage food all around in this order. look at the photos. the two individual tacos, a few bites of beans and rice each and two inedible 4" churros was 36$ after fees and tip. i can not believe they sell food like this regularly and have 4.9 stars. something doesn't add up. it is hard to buy that they just had an off day with everything including the overcharging situation but if so then it sure stinks to have chosen tgem today based on the high ratings and expected the "best tacos in the area" and instead gotten something i could make myself better for 1/5 the cost without any background in mexican food. if you have ever eaten real chinese cuisine that is not NYC style take out then consider the difference from the authentic dishes to the americanized versions and that is how this food is best described. it is nothing like a street cart in jalisco and everything like a food court in a mall in idaho. if this is not what they are normally like then the owners need to fire whoever was working friday 2/21/2025 at 7:30 pm."
