"I would like to share my first time experience trying this restaurant. I had the beef Suya Bowl it comes with Jollof rice with sliced red onion and additional seasoning on the top . The Jollof rice was spicy and very nicely cooked. The beef was tender and suited this dish well I would highly reccomend this dish. To drink I had a large pineapple ginger juice freshly squeezed . Super refreshing however for the size of the drink it's a tad bit over priced for $6.50 when the cup really looks like a small and no where near a large . But I would still re order this drink because of how yummy it is . "

"I recently DoorDashed my local KFC with high hopes of enjoying their famed fried chicken, but I was very disappointed. My low rating of 2 stars is primarily due to the size of the chicken pieces served. Firstly, the portion sizes were surprisingly small for the price. When I ordered my meal, I was expecting hearty, succulent pieces of chicken, but what I got were undersized, almost bite-sized pieces that felt more like appetizers than a main course. The small chicken pieces didn't live up to the hearty and satisfying experience that KFC typically promotes. Moreover, the small size of the chicken pieces also impacted the overall enjoyment of the meal. This While the flavor of the chicken and the seasoning were still up to KFC's usual standards, the disappointing size of the pieces overshadowed these positives. It's hard to fully appreciate the taste when you feel like you're not getting your money's worth in terms of portion size. In conclusion, KFC's small chicken pieces were a significant letdown. I hope they reconsider their portion sizes to better meet customer expectations and provide a more fulfilling dining experience. Until then, my 2-star rating stands as a reflection of this disappointing."

Our latest order was definitely the last time we will order from here. We ordered two bowls and all the protein in both bowls was burnt and very scarce. 85 percent of both bowls was just rice which somehow they screwed up too as it was overcooked and mushy. I dont know why I keep wasting money, maybe im just hopeful this place will be good again like when in opened in the early 2000s"

I only tried 3 dishes (Hennessy Wings; Collard Greens; Yams) for this 'test run' . The verdict? I cannot wait to return (I'm actually considering it again tonight!)!!!! Those wings were so unique and delicious! I smelled the Hennessy as soon as I opened the container; and it gave the wings an awesome flavor! The collard greens were my litmus test. Boy, I was so pleasantly surprised. So many restaurants fail with the greens. But not Savory Souls Kitchen! That 'potlikka' broth was so rich and flavorful. OMGoodness, I wish I'd ordered 2 servings! The yams were also good. They were spiced properly. I must honestly admit though, when I compare the restaurants's yams to mine, I like mine better. Still, I was not disappointed with my yams at all last night. The catering menu seems much more extensive than the restaurant offerings. I know I will use them to help supplement the dishes at my next shindig, whether it's a routine cookout, or a holiday meal! I am so happy to find Savory Souls Kitchen! I thought the Double Double Smash Burger was going to be your run of the mill smash burger. I gotta say though, you know the restaurants that the attention to detail is off the chart. This place is it. I swear, every single French fry was perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper and was crunchy. The burger was unreal, bacon perfect crisp level but still foldy to taste. I added grilled jalapeños and had nice kick. They knew to remove the capsaicin seeds from the jalapeños. Right amount of cheese to meat ratio. The food came hot, perfectly made, juicy flavorful meat, and no joke.... they even put a hand written sticky note addressed to your name saying thank you and to enjoy. The owner of this restaurant should go into consulting and teach other restaurants how to operate. The staff team must really care cause it shows. It was just perfect. Every attention to detail, the quality and taste of the ingredients they used... even the process was flawless; they sent the confirmation photo when it was ready for pick up. Idk how you could do better. Like I said, I was just so flabbergasted I had to go out of my way to leave this review. It was a 10/10."
