"I had a very disappointing experience with this restaurant. I raised an issue regarding my order, but I did not receive any proper response. When I contacted DoorDash, they asked me to reach out to the restaurant. When I contacted the restaurant, the response was simply “maybe it was missed.”
For an order where I spent around $70, a “maybe” is not an acceptable explanation. Customers expect accountability and clear communication, not uncertainty.
Coming to the food — the biryani and rice were nothing special. The taste was average, and the food didn’t feel fresh. At this price point, I expected much better quality and service.
I always prefer giving positive reviews when places deserve it, but based on this experience, I cannot recommend ordering from here. There are many other restaurants that provide better value, taste, and customer support."

I only tried 3 dishes (Hennessy Wings; Collard Greens; Yams) for this 'test run' . The verdict? I cannot wait to return (I'm actually considering it again tonight!)!!!!
Those wings were so unique and delicious! I smelled the Hennessy as soon as I opened the container; and it gave the wings an awesome flavor!
The collard greens were my litmus test. Boy, I was so pleasantly surprised. So many restaurants fail with the greens. But not Savory Souls Kitchen! That 'potlikka' broth was so rich and flavorful. OMGoodness, I wish I'd ordered 2 servings!
The yams were also good. They were spiced properly. I must honestly admit though, when I compare the restaurants's yams to mine, I like mine better. Still, I was not disappointed with my yams at all last night.
The catering menu seems much more extensive than the restaurant offerings. I know I will use them to help supplement the dishes at my next shindig, whether it's a routine cookout, or a holiday meal!
