"I hate writing a negative review for La Sierra Barbecue because I’ve eaten there in person many times and it’s always been excellent. Their brisket is consistently outstanding, and their barbecue sauce is easily the best in town—possibly the best in the state. Unfortunately, this DoorDash order was a completely different experience. The app initially showed a 28-minute delivery time, but it took 1 hour and 2 minutes. The first driver appeared to be waiting at the restaurant for about 20 minutes before the order was reassigned. The second driver picked it up and arrived quickly, but by then the damage was done—everything was cold. I ordered the baby back ribs, and they were extremely dried out—closer to jerky than ribs. Most of it wasn’t edible. The rest of the meal, including my wife’s order, still had good flavor despite being cold, which speaks to how good their food normally is.
