"I hate writing a negative review for La Sierra Barbecue because I’ve eaten there in person many times and it’s always been excellent. Their brisket is consistently outstanding, and their barbecue sauce is easily the best in town—possibly the best in the state. Unfortunately, this DoorDash order was a completely different experience. The app initially showed a 28-minute delivery time, but it took 1 hour and 2 minutes. The first driver appeared to be waiting at the restaurant for about 20 minutes before the order was reassigned. The second driver picked it up and arrived quickly, but by then the damage was done—everything was cold. I ordered the baby back ribs, and they were extremely dried out—closer to jerky than ribs. Most of it wasn’t edible. The rest of the meal, including my wife’s order, still had good flavor despite being cold, which speaks to how good their food normally is. I don’t know whether this was a DoorDash delay, an order sitting too long before pickup, or a kitchen timing issue. If it was DoorDash, I hope La Sierra looks into how delivery orders are handled so the quality matches what they serve in the restaurant. This experience was far below the standard I’ve come to expect from them."

The riblets were very bland and rather tough and dry, despite the sauce covering them. I expected tender fall off the bone meat. Instead it clung to the bone. The sides that I choose- mac n cheese and fries were pretty good, aside from the fries being cold. My husbands Quesadilla Burger looked great and was cooked to the temperature he requested. We decided to try the NEW Dirty Fountain Sodas and it sounds much more appealing than it looks. Since it was to-go it was served in a cup with a lid which mashed the whip topping down into the soda, giving it the appearance of curdled dairy product. With the lid replaced, we shared the beverage and the flavor was unique but not as good as the description makes it sound. Overall the meal was not a hearty hit the spot kind of one for me."
