The purpose is to vent the piping hot food which makes sense but I've ordered ramen (obviously from a different restaurant) and they send the (also very hot!) broth in an intact container, wrapped well in plastic wrap. I'd prefer food packaged this way if it comes in a reusable container, rather than having to throw away a lid. I also wish I could choose the amount of rice they send, because they're overly generous. Most people might think that's the opposite of an issue but I hate food waste and I can't eat all the rice they send before I have to toss it or freeze it. Everything else is wonderful though! The Butter Chicken is always delightful and the spiciness levels are accurate across all dishes. The Fish Pakora is my new favorite thing here and is amazing with the mint chutney and lemon wedge they provide! Mango Lassi is always in my cart when I order from here too"
