"Holy delciousness! This place is amazing! The crispy chicken cutlet chicken and rice is oh so good. I love chicken and rice meals and have tried gai, rooster and rice and what the cluck and Dabao's is by far the best. The rice is tastier. The chicken is crispy AF. It also comes with a cup of chicken broth which was a nice added touch. Will be definitely be ordering again "
"I've only had Nasi Lemak with cuttlefish or squid, as a breakfast dish. But their perfectly crispy, lightly curried chicken fits in just fine. The coconut-cream rice is of course the whole point of the dish, and they get that right. Along with all the traditional sides, even the crunchy dried anchovies (mixed in with the roasted peanuts). Any worries that moving to the Metreon food court would mean making their menu blander and more generic were completely dispelled; The portion size is more than enough for a filling dinner. I would definitely order this again—but first I want to try some of the other things on the menu."

"Excellent. Food is very flavorful and freshly made.. Cooked with love and to perfection. Arrived hot and neatly packed, good-sized portions. It's worth the affordable price. My 1st time ordering from this place will definitely be ordering again. Curry Chicken Rice Plate咖喱鸡飯 It was so yummy! Cooked to perfection. Loved it. Lots of flavor. The only issue I had was it only had 3 small size pieces of chicken. It was more of a potatoe and onion curry than a chicken curry. Other than that, everything was perfect. Sweet and Sour Cod Fillet Rice 甜酸鱼飯 Yummy. "Cooked to perfection. Made with love. Shrimp Dumplings (4)虾餃 Yummy. Cooked to perfection. Made with love."
"I was looking thru doordash for dinner and found this place. I always read reviews and look at pics before ordering and this place had good reviews so i decided to place an order. I ordered 2 combo plates and wontons in hot oil. The food arrived quickly and was still hot upon arrival. I asked for a side of hot sauce but they didn't include it. Oh well. The food: -Prawns with Scrambled Eggs Rice 滑蛋蝦飯 was very good. Kind of a basic dish but it was done right. Perfectly cooked shrimp and salt level on the eggs. -Chicken with String Beans Rice Plate豆仔鸡飯 was delicious as well. Cooked in a yummy black bean sauce with perfectly crunchy green beans and moist chicken. Chow mein was good too. -Wonton With Hot Oil红油抄手 was enjoyable. The hot oil is actually hot and the wontons were good. All of the dishes i ordered were great and the portions were generous. The prices are also super affordable here which i appreciate. The quality of the food exceeded my expectations based on the price. I will be definitely be ordering from here again."

"Absolutely delicious food! 椒盐嫩豆腐 Salted Pepper Tofu was the best ive had. Ive had a bite of each item - 孜然菠萝炒饭 Cumin Fried Rice with Pineapple delish - took a gamble. Everything warm and arrived quickly! "
"NOTE: I love sweet & sour sauce & have my own, thank goodness! They provide chili sauce with 葱油饼 Green Onion Cake but no sweet-and-sour. I highly recommend you call to request cuz it's SO GOOD! We love the green onion pancakes & highly recommend if you're on the fence, even if youre not an onion fan. Theyre not overpowering at all! They're kinda crisp on outside with softer, chewy layers on the inside that just pull apart! The green onions are more seasoning/garnish, it's the fried pancakes" dough's decadent texture to me that's the star of the show! If you've never had them they remind me of a quesadilla without actually having cheese, so good for vegans? I'd ask what oil they use but my guess is plant-based & though I don't really taste it, recipes usually list sesame oil as well. I got hooked on green onion pancakes many years ago (at Canada College in Redwood City late 90s) when they were the cheapest thing sold in the cafeteria. $1 for small quesadilla size. Hadn't had since til we moved back & to this part of county. Now my picky daughter is also obsessed. At first glance they Seem pricey for what they are, but portions are generous & filling! "

"There was barely any meat in the G8. 雜錦炒飯 Combination Fried Rice. The E3. 柱侯牛腩雲吞麵 Beef Brisket & Wun-tun Noodle Soup was a good portion. But the beef was mostly fat and the wontons were mushy. It could be because I ordered an hour before closing. But I wouldn't likely order again."

"I loved all three dishes I ordered. Dry Fry Beef Hor Fun Fun was my favorite, followed closely Salt & Pepper Fish. The Sesame Chicken was also really good, though I wish the sauce had more sesame flavor instead of sweet & sourish. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu."
"The Simon's Garlic Chicken was very tender and lightly fried. The sauce was very thick and probably too sweet for me. The Mongolian Beef had a unique flavor I couldn't quite identify, maybe fish sauce? Once I got used to it, I quite enjoyed it."

"We like to order the Wagyu Beef Chow Fun, Pork, Shrimp, Mushroom Siu Mai (4), Steamed BBQ Pork Bao (Cha Siu Bao) (3), and Portuguese Egg Tart (2). This is our standard order when we order from Palette. Best beef chow fun I've had in the city and I have tried many (although they are super into the sprouts right now so a bit sprout heavy). These are my husband's favorite pork buns and again he's tried many. The sui mai and egg tarts are excellent here too."

"I am a frequent customer, because they have the best fried rice in Chinatown. This is the Barbecued Pork Fried Rice to take away. Its owner will be happy to assist you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
"I ordered the Salt Salted Fish with Chicken Fried Rice 咸魚雞炒飯 less than a week before this order, and it was absolutely delicious then. Tonight's order was bland, and the texture of the rice seemed a bit hard. So my issue is with the inconsistency. I'll consider trying them again, but I'm not certain what I'd order."

"We are so happy with our order ! We loved the beef with broccoli, walnut prawns, general tso's chicken, and beef chow fun. Great portions, timely preparation, delicious food. "
"The portion size was good for the price, but the taste was quite lacking. Dishes were piping hot and packaged well. TLDR: The Peking Spareribs and Salt & Pepper Pork Chops were both disappointing. The meat was mushy, slimy, and didn't have the texture of properly fried meat. The Peking Spareribs were bland and lacked any significant flavor. They should have been potently sweet and sour. The Salt & Pepper Pork Chops were also severely under-seasoned. They needed much more salt, pepper, and general flavor. --- Rock Cod Fish Fillet with Braised Tofu in Clay Pot was somewhat acceptable. The fish and tofu were a bit bland, but the shiitake mushrooms in this dish were sharply sour?! I wondered if the mushrooms went borderline bad? Now on to the Peking Spareribs and Salt & Pepper Pork Chops: The meat was mushy (almost pasty) and slimy. No, this is not a "deep-fried-but-got-soggy-afterwards" situation. The meat tasted like it was BOILED first, then battered and briefly fried to only to cook the batter. It was far too "wet" for a fried dish. The meat likely had a cornstarch coating applied before being boiled, which created a slimy, slippery barrier to the lightly fried exterior. The meat also came apart when I took a bite. There was barely any structural integrity left of the meat. I suspect too much baking soda was added to the pork for tenderizing, or it was left soaking in a baking soda mixture far too long. The Peking Spareribs dish was bland and lacking in sauce. There was a faintly sweet taste, but that was it. It should be potently sweet and sour with savoriness. The aroma of the vinegar, when you smell it, should sharply hit the olfactory senses, yet be tantalizing. The Salt & Pepper Pork Chops dish did not live up to its name. It lacked salt, pepper, and flavor. I was disappointed by how such a common dish could be so flavorless. Meat issues aside, this dish needed salt and MSG badly."

Added bonus is that the staff and owners are friendly, helpful, and a wonderful addition to our neighborhood."
