"Even though it says Lemon Layer Cake, Hopkins has traditional style Birthday Cake (yellow cake with colorful white icing) by the slice too. So I pick a cake, like Lemon, that would be my second choice and then in the special instructions I write that I want birthday cake not lemon. I have ALWAYS ended up with the birthday cake. If you do this, just make sure you pick a cake that you would actually eat as your original order so if they are out of the birthday cake, then you will just end up with what you originally ordered.
