"I so very much wanted this place to be good, but my first experience with it was terribly disappointing. The garlic and cheese naan tasted of nothing but flour, the butter chicken was bland and lacking much actual meat, and the pakora completely tasteless. The lamb in the biryani was tender, but the massive chunks of onion with it completely overwhelmed everything else. Every single item I ordered tasted like zero salt was used in its preparation (and I say this as someone very sensitive to overuse of salt). I didn’t even save the leftovers, it was so underwhelming, and that almost *never* happens. I’m hoping it was just an off night for them and their food is usually much better, and maybe I’ll give them another chance in a few months if they’re still around. But until then, the place in Sherwood will remain my go-to, even if it is pricier."
