This La Sierra Sampler has been a go-to dish for us, for over $2 less, but this time there were only FIVE chips under the nacho toppings, so those were soggy instead of crispy, and no small bag of plain chips was included with the order, like it usually is, so we couldn't use those to rescue the nachos. This ended up being more a small pile of cheese, shredded beef, and a few refried beans. Far less of all these than usual and most definitely far fewer chips. (Chips? Of all things to scrimp on.) As always the shredded beef was lean, flavorful and succulent. The salsa hot and tasty. And the quesadilla perfectly cheesy. But at the higher price and smaller quantities, not likely to remain a go-to selection for us."

I sure wish they'd price more realistic because I enjoy the food but never eat there because it's ridiculously expensive, which says something because everything is spendy now days. "Finally! A restaurant that offers *1* Lengua Soft Taco rather than 2 or 3 or 4 or 12. The taco packaging itself is so convenient -- no more tacos flopping around in a bag! My single tongue taco was placed gingerly in its box, which slides out of another box to reveal the intact, generously-portioned deliciousness inside. That slide-y box is genius. The flour tortillas did get a *little* soggy at the bottom due to the endlessly drizzly weather and needing a few minutes to get to the door (not the fault of the restaurant or my great dasher!)-- but they were definitely intact and the taco was liftable. That's a feat I've never seen accomplished when I've ordered tongue tacos at a "sit-down" establishment. There was a lot of tongue (lol) so I wound up scooping some with my Chips, and that was a good idea. Good for me. Speaking of Flan , I loved it and I did not realize how much I truly needed it. I've been craving flan, and this did the trick. It was secure snd intact, within a clear plastic container - with no leaks! I appreciate seeing a packaging date and an "enjoy by" date on my box of flan, knowing it's nice and fresh as that first bite makes you go, "MmmmMM!" while your eyes close involuntarily. The chocolate-filled churros: I debated ordering these because there was no chance I'd finish even the taco. Despite *always* eating like a bird, I tore through this meal like a hyena with plenty of motivation to eat those churros. Thank goodness.
