I thought the smoked chicken would be more like a leg or a tie, but it was breast meat that was cut up, but it was still good because you could taste the smoke in the chicken. I'll include pictures. Rib Tips were on point also. They also included a piece of cornbread, and I must say the cornbread is delicious. I had Famous Dave's BBQ yesterday and the ribs were not that good. Didn't even taste like they were smoked. Firewater blows them out the water :-). Also give generous portions. "The grecian salmon looked exactly like its picture. What we were more impressed with was that we got a whole loaf of The Village Squire's delicious bread...still hot! AND a bag popcorn, just like you get in a basket at your table! Our dining experience at home was made so special by those extra touches. Of course, the salmon was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the broccoli, I don't know how they manage to make it bright green, tender, but not overcooked! A 5-star food experience! We will definitely order from The Village Squire in South Elgin. Just be sure to put the word "The" in front or you'll get the restaurant in Dundee."

"I ordered The Onion soup it tasted like very salty water. Like, really old sitting in there for days, type of soup. Their loaf of bread is always really good but they put the butter in with the warm stuff and I had liquid butter. I also had a loaded baked potato tasted like an old potato, it wasn't light and fluffy, and the sour cream was like liquid because it was in with the hot stuff. The cold slaw was also put in with the hot stuff and tasted gross. I also got a full slab of ribs. The ribs were hot when they arrived, but they were so dry Because they were overcooked. I have eaten at this restaurant and done pick up And the food has never been this bad. I feel like I wasted fifty dollars."

They have bacon as a topping which is always a plus and Pepperoni Magnifico® on regular crust is delicious as well. Their Chicken Dippers (10 Pcs.) is not seasoned much, but works in a dipping sauce, so not bad either. That said, there are pizza that matures and are delicious cold, but these are not one of those, so eat them as soon as they are arrive and before they get cold!"

"Hate to leave bad reviews but their beef chop suey just isn't good. 80%+ of their beef is inedible. Just fatty to the point of can't even chew it. Like biting into it feels like biting into an eraser but...harder? The sauce also tastes nothing like any other beef chop suey sauce I've had. It was strangely thick, almost gooey at first. And just had an odd tang to it. Mixing with rice helped but it wouldn't have been edible otherwise. I will say the vegetables were cooked well and you got a good amount. It also came with a pop and an egg roll for the lunch special for a really good price. I wish the the meat could have been edible and the sauce was better. Maybe just an off day? Never experienced that before with a Chinese restaurant. This is my first time ordering here. Sorry to add photos of partially chewed food but those are just some of the pieces I tried to eat and literally couldn't chew."

But I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I could taste the allspice and nutmeg and it wasnt overly sweet. Good flavor and portion. I will definitely order again. As you can see from the pictures the food looked fresh and good portions. I liked the black eyed peas and dressing the best. I wasn't a fan of the greens. It was missing some seasoning for me. However, I think if I had some hot sauce it might have hit the spot. I was staying in a hotel so did not have hot sauce. The food did arrive hot and overall was tasty. I would definitely repeat."
