My coworkers and I could not afford beef at 900 yen for 200 grams (about half a pound). I did not start making money until I was a full time translator. Having not had beef for 6 months I accompanied my pals to the opening of Wendy's in Shinjuku. I ordered a triple which was an unbelievable mass of beef in Japan for 1250 yen. [Due to the "Lost Decades" it's 1240 yen today]. That triple was like Manna from heaven. First time back in the States, I went to a Wendy's on the Post Road for a double. Heaven. My latest was Wendy's in SEYMOUR across from Klarides Plaza. Still, Heaven. Maybe it's always BEEF HEAVEN at WENDY's. No matter where. It makes me smile."

The slaw was a little bitter from too much celery seed, but otherwise good. It was improved by garlic powder. The Banana Puddin' was brown like it was dairy free maybe? Not great. It tasted/looked like corn starch boiled with bananas and a spiced rum flavoring. The pudding was slightly translucent. It was topped with tons of cool whip.
