"Today, I wanted a fried pork chop. I searched high and low, for one, on door dash but to no avail. In my scrolls, I happened on Embers BBq I'm not a big bbq fan but the menu was intriguing so, I took a chance. After much deliberation, I settled (it was not a settle AT ALL), on the brisket quesadilla, all the way and the cheese fries. I got the bbq sauce, on the side because, l'm not really a fan of bbq sauce. I also got the cheese sauce, on the side and coleslaw. When I tell you that Embers BBQ owes me NOTHING, I mean every word. The quesadilla is big enough to share (it's going to take me three days, to finish it ), the fries were perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of cheese sauce and the coleslaw (I'm very particular about my slaw) was perfect (not as perfect as my moms, if she's reading this ). Now, let's talk about the bbq and cheese sauce. I'm an NC girl, if I'm going to eat bbq, it has to be vinegar based... USUALLY. Not in this case, the sauce was perfect, not too sweet, with just enough twang. I loved it! The cheese sauce was flavorful and complimented the quesadilla perfectly. Am I a bbq girl? Do I prefer NC style bbq? The truth that I have been living has been dispelled. I can't wait to try the other menu items. Thank you for an AMAZING lunch experience! "

"The Bourbon BBQ Chicken Sandwich was great! Bourbon BBQ sauce and bacon elevated the chicken sandwich. Might be interesting to switch out the bun for the onion bun that comes with the beef and cheddar. Love the Potato Cakes (3 ea.). They were crispy and still hot."

"Lots of meat on Quarter Pound Brisket Sandwich. It was touch too salty for my personal taste. Potato Cakes (4 ea.) were excellent. They were hot and fresh. We always enjoy the flaky Cherry Turnover. Didn't get a chance to try the Quarter Pound Pulled Pork Sandwich. Hazard a guess that it is probably good since the cat stole the sandwich and tore into it. Will have to try it on another day."
