"China Palace has improved a lot since my last order from them a year ago! Huge portions! (read: enough for two maybe three meals!) The C16. General Tso's Chicken looks like General Tso's. It used to be brownish and overly sweet. The fried rice is decent fried rice, not the garbage they used to serve. The egg roll is not actually an egg roll. It's a spring roll, but for the money, who am I to complain? All in all, it tastes pretty good, and is a good value."

I was only missing their amazing chai today but I love that best at their location. 🤤 I love their paneer dishes but today I got the Butter Chicken just because I usually go for other items (and have loved them all). "Great food. In comparison to Bomy's in town, it is more expensive, but I think it is better. The samosa have a worse wrapping, better filling, and better sauces that come with it. The white rice is a different variety than Bomy's basmati, but I think both are fine. The garlic naan they give you comes with about the same amount and tastes pretty comparable. The chicken tikka masala is sweeter, has better flavor, but I get it more spicy at Biryani than Bomy's because of the sweetness. Both places need to put raita on the menu."

"Disappointing Food Quality – Burnt Flavors and Stale Tortillas I ordered the Choriqueso and the 3 Tacos de Asada meal, which came with rice, beans, and a small side salad. Right away, the Choriqueso was underwhelming—it came with what looked like just a quarter of a standard bag of chips, not nearly enough for the amount of cheese served. The presentation felt like an afterthought. More concerning was the flavor across the entire meal. The Choriqueso, tacos, rice, beans, and even the salad all shared a strong, bitter, burnt taste—like everything had been cooked on the same pan without it being properly cleaned between uses. It wasn’t the smokiness you sometimes get from grilled food; it was the acrid taste of scorched residue. The tortillas for the tacos were another letdown. They were clearly not fresh—tough, dry around the edges, and had the texture of something that had been sitting out too long before being served. Reheating didn’t help; they lacked the softness and warmth that fresh tortillas should have. The asada itself was dry and underseasoned, and whatever flavor it had was overpowered by the same burnt undertone that ran through the entire plate. Overall, the food tasted like it had been carelessly prepared, with little attention to freshness or basic kitchen hygiene. The experience was disappointing from the first bite to the last."

Plus, the inadequate amount of actual chili topping dribbled down the middle of the spud was so disappointing. McAlister's lemonade has always been my most primary draw towards patronizing the deli; but, again, the last few times I've ordered the lemonade, it has been received tasting very watered down.
