"This is my first time trying Janis. I was impressed with the pork SISIGSILOG and HALO-HALO ! That being said, I have traveled around the Philippines and have a good baseline to compare the food. The pork SISIGSILOG was very tasty and flavorful. And to my taste, as I didn't taste any ginger in it. (ginger isn't my thing) The rice was flavorful from the sauce and meats. I requested some chopped chili. (Should have asked for more). The pork was cooked well, I personally would prefer a little more fat pieces, though. (I understand that most people probably prefer lean meats) The portion was filling. I ordered a second serving of rice, which I didn't even need for this meal. (The rice did not go to waste) HALO-HALO was very good! They filled it up with fruits and toppings. Taste exactly how it be in the Philippines! At first, I was worried that it would spill or get messy, but they had used a large boba cup style that the top is sealed. Overall, great experience and will definitely order again! I'm already craving another HALO-HALO !"

The tikka masala was good, but we wish the chicken would have been more tender. The naan was decent (nothing special) with our favorite being the garlic naan. We also received the vegetable samosas (as part of the family dinner) - we didn't like the outside, but ate the filling which was delicious with the very yummy chutneys that were included. They also gave us a little free desert (a fried donut-type ball soaked in syrup - sorry, don't know the name). The order was packaged very nicely, the portions were good and the price was reasonable, too. Happy to have a new Indian restaurant to go to!"

Burger was cooked perfectly but the gravy was not what we grew up with at local joints in Hawai'i. Gravy was on the sweet side! Not to our satisfaction. It may be good for those who've never had Hawai'i loco moco before but to us that grew up on the islands, we want savory and thick gravy. Not sweet and runny!! Mac salad was okay, we have had better at other Hawaiian joints in the area. The cookies were burnt and expensive for how many you get and the size of it. I don't like cookies crunchy and thin, but if that's your preference then these cookies are for you. Guava Cake tasted good but was dry. Like it's been sitting out for a while or made a day before. We've had moist guava cakes at other places. And for the price per piece it's def not worth the buy. Spam Musubi (2 Pcs.) was also dry - lacking in sauce. Overall the easiest dish to make was by far the best tasting although it was burnt. Mediocre at best, there's other better Hawaiian restaurants in the area that serve more in their plates for the same price and that is better tasting."

"The Tom Kha & Panang Curry are some of the best I've ever had! I love that the Tom Kha comes with rice, I love eating it over rice rather than a soup. I got medium spice on both and they came wonderfully spiced to a medium. The Panang Curry had plenty of veggies and chicken. Now for the Papaya Salad (Lao Style) it looks amazing, but the moment I took off the lid it smelled of fermented fish sauce so bad, I took a bite and overwhelmed with fish sauce. Im sad and hoping I can add sugar and somehow fix it because it is not edible. Lastly, the Cream Cheese Wontons look so good but they're just meh, dense cream cheese not a fluffy cream cheese texture. They would be awesome if the filling was fluffy or had green onions or crab. I would not order them again. I will definitely order their Panang Curry and Tom Kha again! "

"The food was really good, the presentation difficult. The fresh spring rolls were tightly wrapped up in plastic cling wrap. The rolls themselves are wrapped in rice paper, which clings to the cling wrap, Un wrapping them really hard! They just kind of fall apart. I am sure that served in the restaurant they are fine. The pad Thai was presented as a bunch of ingredients all packed together in a box. To enjoy them properly they needed to be mixed, impossible to do in the box because the noodles are all along the bottom, just stuck there. I dumped everything into a salad bowl and was able to mix them a bit. Still, very tasty and I am sure in the restaurant, properly served, it would be fine. The curry was perfect!"

Needless to say, they must have changed a lot in the past couple of months that I ordered last. They made the queso & chips so much smaller for the same price they used to charge for the larger one but now they're two different prices. The kids meal used to include rice, chips & pico but now it's only a quesadilla(smaller than it used to be), orange slice & sour cream --- all while charging the same price or more than they did previously. The drink was larger than expected but it tasted really watered down & bitter for some reason. The salad seems smaller too with less lettuce & meat. I'm very disappointed. Everyone was saying the quality has gone downhill but I didn't want to believe it. Wish I would've smh."
