"I order from Blackbird once a year or so. And every time I do, I'm always reminded of how staggeringly mediocre and overpriced the donuts are. At ~$4.50, over 3 times the price of Dunkin's $1.29. Wegmans donuts are better than Dunkin and cost even less. The sweeter flavors such as the toffee frosted are not bad at Blackbird, but honestly not 3 times better than a maple frosted at Dunkin. Sure, it tastes a little more homemade, but Blackbird just never seems like a good value. You might be lured by the idea of "luxury" donuts like I am. If they were the best donuts I'd ever had, then yes maybe they would be worth it. But to be this mediocre and also overpriced it's a shame. If you do go into the restaurant they have friendly staff so that's a plus. Gave two stars instead of one for that."
