If you’re in the mood for a big bowl of cacio e pepe and a glass of Sangiovese or a Margherita pizza and a cold lager, you’re in the mood for Fiorella. Owners Boris Nemchenok and Brandon Gillis have been pleasing locals with their neighborhood Italian fare since 2016. Fiorella now has three locations across the city, and for good reason. This vibe is old-school Italian cooking with a fresh, modern approach. Start with the Spritz kit, which comes with everything you need to whip up six spritzes, including step-by-step instructions. Pair your spritz with some arancini, then move on to the wood-fired pizzas (we recommend the NYC-style pepperoni and the funghi). If pasta is what you’re after, the bucatini is a must-have alongside that cacio e pepe. For dessert, the budino, made with Guittard chocolate and candied hazelnuts, is proof that simple is always best.
