The meat itself was the bigger issue though — it had an off, stale smell that put me off eating more than a few bites. Definitely didn't taste fresh.
On top of that, this didn't look anything like a proper dum biryani. No visible layering, no signature aroma or texture you'd expect from something actually cooked on dum — just looked like regular masala rice mixed with meat.
