"First time trying Sals, I like the NY theme and they get points for having Black and white cookies but for the price the pizza was not good enough even from a Southern California perspective ( not known for our pizza, good spots aren't that common). I'd give it a pass if it wasn't pushing the NY presentation but because it is I have to judge accordingly. My Dads side of the family is from Bronx/yonkers so I grew up visiting there and Jersey and also scouting out the good local places in SD and OC. The biggest issue was the crust, I ordered well done and got undercooked floppy pizza, crust didn't have much of a taste either. Wasn't much sauce on it so didn't really notice what it tasted like it was so subtle. Cheese was good quality though and tasty. "

"Where to start...how about the doughy, fresh, cheesy Spinach Pinwheel ! Tasted just-baked and came with mouthwatering marinara. The Mozzarella Sticks were crunchy and fresh, a treat I felt deserving of tonight. The Caesar Salad came with mozzarella cheese and tomatoes, which shouldn't be on a Caesar salad. Wasn't super impressed, but not worth docking a star for. Just wouldn't order this salad again. The SM 10" - 6 Slices ( 1-2 people ) was AMAZING. The buttery crust was filled with delicious toppings. The chicken was thick-sliced breast meat, and the mushrooms, sausage, garlic, and pepperoni all were plentiful as well! The Wings were gone in a flash! He said he wants to try them fried next time. So, so good. Loved the convenience of a 2 Liter Bottle of Sprite, too. This week has been HARD on us and thank you for making dinner easy and delicious tonight. "This restaurant should be on your to go to list. We always eat here when we come to Laguna Beach. This is delicious Italian food, and this is coming from a girl who grew up in NJ/NY. Their signature dish Rigatoni i Giulietta melts in your mouth. You won't be disappointed. "

"I ordered a pepperoni pizza from Brooklyn City Pizzeria and it was seriously good. The pizza was massive and the price was surprisingly good for how big it was. The crust was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce had a classic New York flavor that was rich and a little sweet.
The pepperoni had slightly crispy edges and just the right amount of flavor without being too greasy. Every slice had plenty of toppings and the cheese melted perfectly.

House Special Salad lists a bunch of ingredients you can remove (I didn't want tomatoes), but only came with lettuce, cheese, and 4 olives. This was around $40 for the food alone - crazy. "
