"Food was mediocre, and not at all like the pictures. The chili cheese cony dog was pitifully scrawny compared to the plump product shown on the menu. The fries were ordinary cringle-cut fries like you might find in your grocery store's frozen food section, nothing like the picture or menu description. The caramel shake had only a small dollop of whipped cream, was unsealed, and came without a straw or spoon. Everything arrived near room temperature, even though the Sonic is not far from my house. With it being a cold night, I decided to order gumbo off of DoorDash, the hype has been surrounding Pujo Street Cafe, known apparently for the “ best gumbo in town” known for being rich and flavorful with a very dark roux.
The potato salad is not included with the gumbo, you have to order the potato salad as a side, the potato salad is priced at $4.50. (Keep in mind every restaurant in town includes the potato salad with the gumbo order).
When I received the order, I noticed that the rice cups were missing from the order, that was until I opened the lid on the cup of gumbo, and to my surprise, the rice was already in the gumbo!
Whoever is in charge in the kitchen at Pujo Street Cafe obviously has no clue what they are doing here, under no circumstances are you to ever serve the rice already in the gumbo much less, serve the rice already in the gumbo to-go! Especially with a delivery driver, waiting for the order, the rice sits in the gumbo for an extended amount of time, sometimes soaking up with the juices. I guess it hurts Pujo St Cafe to order extra cups for the rice.
As for the gumbo itself, the temperature was warm, yes it’s a dark room, but it is definitely rich and flavorful, no seasoning needed however, the gumbo is extremely thick, my personal opinion the rice did soak up majority of the of the gumbo. Also there was barely any chicken in the “chicken and sausage gumbo”.
Not sure if I’ll be ordering the gumbo from Pujo Street again. I think they need to rethink the whole serving the rice in the gumbo formula, AND charging $4.50 for a side of potato salad because this is not how you do it.

The ONLY dishes that actually had everything included on the menu and with them were the (2) You Pick Two's ordered (cup of soggy jambalaya and cup of chicken/sausage gumbo & fish bites w/ (6) fried shrimp). Fish bites were good but shrimp was rubbery. The Chicken Strip Dinner (and the Kids Chicken Strips & Fries) were both VERY overcooked/fried and dried out. Both missing the gravy & toast. The Blackened Alfredo was just noodles with super salty sauce and ZERO shrimp or chicken. Potato salad was good (it's plain-no veg or crunchy stuff)."

"Underwhelming experience here w/ most of the food...here's why:
The Roll Your Own (Hot) Half, the 10. California Turkey Whole (Combo) were both missing the avocado and at least 1 other ingredient ordered. Very disappointing portions of any "premium" toppings, spreads and meat (besides copious amounts of sliced turkey). You couldn't taste the ham or bacon or Swiss or cream cheese on ANY wraps - just turkey or honey mustard. The Broccoli & Cheddar (Today's Soups) tasted decent IF you ate around the hard stem/leaf bits. The Loaded Baked Potato (Today's Soups) was one of the WEIRDEST soups I've EVER had. To call it "Loaded Baked Potato" is a lie lol - it's definitely closer to a thick/chunky potato and mystery meat chowder - possibly chunks of ham (see pics). Hard pass for me."

"I tried the #40 Massaman Curry this time. The only disappointment was that the potatoes were a little underdone. otherwise the dish was wonderful. The flavors were enchanting, and the portions were very generous — enough for two. The #3 Fresh Spring Rolls were large and packed with crisp veggies. For the curry, I went with "Thai Hot" and got the eye-watering heat level I was expecting. If you are not a true hot food aficionado, the regular "Hot" level is a safer bet. Once again, I will be back to try something else from the menu soon. Great place!"
"I moved out of LC several years ago so I haven't had a chance to try Thai LC until today when I came to visit. It's genuinely some of the best food I've ever had. The mango sticky rice is ridiculously good. The pad Thai is delicious and so is the fried tofu. The service was quick and friendly. I'll definitely stop by again when I'm back in town"
