"The tortillas are super good and the meat is so flavorful that it doesn't need any salsa (they did forget my salsa but is imagine I'd be pretty yummy aswell lol) I personally liked the carnitas better than the standard asada because the carnitas were tender and the flavor exploded in your mouth. "My favorite Mexican restaurant in Ankeny. The food is always delicious and you get a lot of food for the price. The California Burrito is huge."
"I was sad when our favorite Mexican restaurant on the north side closed. But I am so glad I found Hernandez's. I order door dash lunch from here at least once a week. I have never been disappointed. "So, said it before and will say it again...Get. Everything. The asada Burrito with tomatillo salsa was super delicious, but the Mexican Corn? 👀👀👀 It was creamy goodness!! And the Torta Birria French Dip has no business being that tasty. I think that could truly be my forever meal. Churros have the most pleasant texture, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They were the best way to finish the meal. Love the smile they left, and joy they put into their food. You can taste it 🥰. Highly recommend this place, they never disappoint! ❤️"
"I absolutely love Flame Cantina! Their Quesa Birria Tacos are the best I have ever had. The Spanish Rice is really good and I love to add queso to it. Their Mexican Corn is so good! "Bacon Burrito was perfect.l, stuffed with lots of bacon and egg and cheese. very large burrito! chips and queso Large chips and queso (16oz.) is perfect and if you can't eat it all, it's perfectly reheatable!"
"I took a chance and ordered from Lina's because they were the only restaurant open late at night, I work overnight so there's usually no options other than gas station foods. Being someone who enjoys a good Mexican dish, I do have my favorite dishes and a good chimichanga is definitely at the top of the list. Price seemed fair, looked like some good stuff with it, so I ordered the #20 with a side of chips and queso. Let me tell ya! This this was enormous! perfectly cooked, great flavor, flakey shell, just all around fantastic!! the Queso was a pleasant surprise also, I usually only expect some good cheese with some type of Pico or other flavors mixed in, nothing to fancy as it's just a side cooked for the masses. let me tell ya, I was wrong on that one too. when I opened the little bowl the cheese was still warm and gooey, not hard or crusting over, really good flavor in the cheese and actually a little spicy like it's got chilies instead of Pico. So very good all the way around! I will definitely be ordering again and look forward to trying something new next time."

"Quesabirria taco de Res con consome had plenty of meat and was flavorful. The Torta Regular was also flavorful, a little too much mayo for me, the Green Salsa and Avocado Salsa were not spicy at all. "
"The Nachos Locos was flavorful, and enough for leftovers.
I love Faustino's Baby Potatoes! The spices they use give it a kick, but not too much.
This is one of my favorites places to go."

"The salsa verde is the best. Been eating at this truck for 20 years. Forever my favorite! "
"The meat in the burrito was sparse, even ordering double meat. What little meat inside was dry and chewy. There were a few big pieces of gristle that were inedible. The burrito had very little flavor and the tortillas fell apart trying to eat it. Will not be revisiting this place in the future."

"I have always loved taco casa and have been going here since a child. disappointing that I said no onions and their was onions on it but besides that they were the best tasting All Beef Burrito that NO where else can compare to!!!"
"The Mean and Bean Nachos were a smaller portion, hardly any toppings, and not covered in red sauce which is very rare for this establishment. We've been eating there for many years. Dine in, take out, and delivery with no issues so we're hoping this is a one off."

"It still tasted good but it was weird. The burrito was about 4 inches long. Like it was rolled up normally the turned and rolled up again. It was very odd and difficult and messy to eat. "
"The taste is always amazing and beats out the competition. The portion sizes are perfect and they don't skimp out. The freshness of the food always amazes me. I would order this again and again. The steak is always cooked so perfectly! Great job"

"I've been coming here for years since an otherwise bad date introduced me. The pupusas are delicious, large, & filling yet I always forget, get excited, & order way more than I can eat. I don't know what sorcery they do to make that coleslaw downright addictive. I tried the fried plantains with cream and beans for the first time and it has absolutely no right to taste that good being so simple. Whatever is in that cream elevates the plantains to something extraordinary. Even their beans are incredible. After a week of not eating due to oral surgery, this meal was so comforting and joyful. Highly recommend."
"Fried Yucca is delicious tasted like potato and I love the anchovies on top too. The curtido is good, vinegary. Wish the extra avocado would have been more filled. Salsa tastes like tomato sauce and not spicy at all but I liked it because tomatoes are my fav food."

"Wow! The beans were creamy and flavorful, the carne asada tacos were the best I've had in a long time, and the mexican rice was SO FLUFFY when I blew on it to cool it off - some of it floated away! This was my first time trying La Favorita, but I will be a repeat customer without a doubt! 10/10"
"Everyone was saying how the birria is the greatest in the city, so my expectations were high. The (3)Quesabirria plate's consummé was mostly fat, barely any broth which made it bland. The tacos were hefty. It was very filling. That broth is what makes birria great though. My go to is Lina's so thats what im comparing it to. The Tres Leches cake was dry."
