"Colombian's Taste is easily one of my favorite restaurants. I've tried many different options from the menu and enjoyed them all! I have a gluten intolerance, but many of the food is naturally gluten-free, which means I have significantly more options than I do elsewhere.
The packaging is also among the best I've ever seen, especially when I order soups like Ajiaco. The plastic wrap around the containers makes a difference in keeping everything sealed well for travel.
Everything is fresh when delivered, textures are maintained well due to packing, everything tastes incredible, and the food is so filling I usually get more than one meal out of it, which makes the price worth it.
The chicarron is always so well made that I need to order it every time, even when I'm trying to mix things up. I can't recommend this restaurant enough!"

"I ordered the #1 Athenian Gyro Dinner with no tomatoes as im allergic. I receive a Gyro Dinner full of tomatoes! It did not have any onions or side salad which it was supposed to come with. Sadly I cant review the taste of the gyros since the tomatoes were on top so I cant speak to how that tastes. The fries look like they are not even cooked. The Skordalia w/pita is just about the worst thing I've ever tasted and the Fried Zuchini is too mushy and bland to eat on its own. The Saganaki Wedges were tasty and well cooked! "I’ve ordered from Port of Peri Peri (Buffalo Grove location) multiple times before, but unfortunately, this will be my last. Over time, I’ve noticed a steady decline in quality while prices keep increasing. Today’s order was the final straw.
I ordered a whole chicken with peri rice (large upgrade) and five extra sauces. The chicken was extremely dry, as if it hadn’t thawed properly before cooking. Instead of the large rice portion I paid for, they gave me a small, which is just careless. The extra sauces were another disappointment—while I understand they won’t be filled to the brim for transport, these were barely half full, yet they charge $1 per sauce. Out of the five I ordered, only two were decently filled—a complete ripoff.
My family used to love takeout from here, but the quality has dropped too much to justify the price anymore. I genuinely believe it’s this Buffalo Grove location cutting corners because the Schaumburg location has maintained its standards.

The shawarma plate came over salad and was served with pickles, baba, hummus, salad,pita, and sauces.
The habibi plate came with chicken and shish kebab, kofta, shawarma(I think) alongside rice, pickled veg, tabouli, baba, a charred onion, pepper, and tomato, pita, and sauces. The beef was excellent quality.
The hummus and baba are obviously homemade and were both good.
The sauces are just ok- the white sauce would be better with garlic and the hot sauce had a different profile than I expected- maybe mint?
The falafel have the potential to be great with a great consistency and a good fry, but need more seasoning and herbs.
The rice was well cooked, but I got 1/2 spicy 1/2 not and couldn't tell the difference between the two.
Everything needed more salt which is an easy fix.
Overall, meat quality is excellent and the portions are generous. I would order again if I was nearby."
