"Wow. This place is amazing. The Chicken and Veggie Tikkas, garlic naans and veggie samosas were all top notch and the serving size lasted us for several meals. Great value. Plus their tamarind chutney is some of the best I've had. "

"I never write reviews, but have to shout out the Veg Samosa (2) here. Most rich and delicious samosas I've ever tried"
"This place was great the first time I ordered. The second time I ordered was almost as if I ordered from a different restaurant. The lamb is extremely chewy and has a strong old goat flavor rather than lamb. I don't know if it was a mix up or if it's just me. The chicken tasted bland and as if it was sitting in the fridge for a week. The portions are extremely small and have a bad dish to rice ratio. I would not order here again."

"Ordered their Cauliflower Tikka Masala ,Taste was okay. It wasn’t anything super delicious nor did it taste bad. The rice portion was really small. . Might order from again if I am craving India food late at night when other Restaurants are all closed."

WORTH THE MONEY!! it didn't come with rice but I got naan and the naan was huge!! Was a great substitute for rice! And it came with a side cabbage salad and light yogurt-ish dressing! I might have to visit this place in person with my friends!"

"Omlette was good, could use a little more salt/pepper. Dahi bahre were delicious. Perfectly proportioned sauces "
"The portions of everything are HUGE, 24oz Mango Lassi, salad on the side with the Shahi paneer (cheese butter), generous cups of sauces on the side. The Rice Pudding (Kheer) is so good and they give so much of it. It's thick and sweet and has slivered almonds mixed in. The Shani paneer has so much paneer in it, normally there's so much extra sauce but not with this. The 2 potatoes samosas are huge and they came steaming hot. The only thing I didn't totally love was the garlic naan, which was kinda dense. But overall 9/10 would order again."

"This is some of the best Indian around that I've found. The Chicken Tikka Masala is irresistible and the Garlic Naan is fluffy warm and savory. However this location I've been ordering from them since I started working from home and their food is outstanding!!!!!!!! like their Fried MoMo isss soooo good. Their chicken tiki Chicken Tikka Masala is amazing, the packaging is always great and the food last about two days for one person. I've ordered from them for three years and the quality has never changed."
"THIS FOOD WAS AMAZING! Great quanity GREAT quality Great taste. I ordered an extra rice thinking the meal didn't come with rice but it does! Everything was fresh and taste like it was made from home! RICH in flavor!I was shocked honestly! I will always order from here even tho the price was a little crazy for me it was well worth it! "We had the Butter Chicken, Cauliflower Lasuni and Spinach curry. Honestly tasted like it came out of a can, lacked flavor. We barely ate half of it. "Mali Kofta was delicious, sweet with the faintest bit of heat. TheShag Ponner was different from any of the palak paneer I've had before. Instead of some spice, it was sweet and a little salty, without any heat at all. The salty Lassi was more salty than I'm used to but after the first sip, I couldn't put it down, just kept drinking. It's a 16 oz drink.
the food comes in full-to-the-rim plastic containers (not dishes) so you need to plate the food, and there was a good deal of sauce so a bowl might be better."

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Indian cuisine or wants to try something new and delicious."
"Good size portions but food was mid. Keema Paratha does not look like photo, it looks like a giant empanada and keema was quite dry and flavorless. "Food was delicious. Portions are large. My dinner came with rice, so I needn't have ordered rice, but the flavored rice really went so well with the Chicken Korma and together it was two huge meals."
"⭐ Disappointed and Concerned About Food Quality
I used to genuinely enjoy this restaurant's goat masala. The meat was tender, flavorful, and had the distinctive aroma I've come to associate with well-prepared goat.
Unfortunately, my last two experiences have been very different.
On both occasions, the meat lacked its familiar aroma and flavor, was noticeably tougher, and contained bones that looked unusual to me.
After the second experience, I contacted the restaurant to inquire about its meat supplier. I was given a name that sounded like Jetro, but I have not independently confirmed the supplier or the origin of the meat.
My biggest concern is whether I'm receiving the same product I've enjoyed and paid for in the past.
I cannot identify the animal from the bones alone, and I don't want to make unsupported accusations. However, the repeated differences in taste, texture, and appearance have left me uncomfortable.
As a longtime customer, I'm disappointed. I trusted this restaurant and"

"We love Jalsa! We normally get the Vegetarian Dahi Puri appetizer (make sure they don't forget the mint chutney; they forgot it tonight). Some assembly required on those but 100% delicious. It's better to send it in parts because it preserves the texture.
We also usually get two veg "gravies." (Standard Indian entrees.) You probably can't go wrong."
"This Daal Vegetarian Daal Makhni (Rice Not Included) is my new favorite food. So rich and flavorful! And you will not find a better Vegetarian Saag Paneer (Rice Not Included) than Jalsa. Tons of paneer and super fresh sauce. "

"The food came hot and packa well, It was packed with flavor and they followed my in and the Curry Shrimp was definitely filling and had a great portion of shrimp as well. The Doubles also came through with the flavor definitely recommend this spot."
"There seems to be no difference between medium and large except price. But the food is great & fresh, the jerk sauce was on point, and the chicken is moist and soft, the rice and sides will put a smile on your face. I paid $19 for what others paid $15 is my only complaint."

"This was genuinely one of best meals I have ever had. I ordered the butter chicken and got it mild medium spicy which was the perfect spice level and the flavor was amazing. I also got the coconut shrimp which was fantastic, like these flavors are unreal. I also go the garlic naan such a good choice it perfected my meal. I concluded my meal with the rice pudding which was just the best, perfect sweetness level and the mango kulfi, again great flavor, smooth and creamy. I will be ordering from here again."
"This place is so freaking good. You can actually taste how fresh everything is. The veggie flavors are prominent (the peas in the Methi Mattar Paneer just make the whole thing POP with freshness) the meats are tender, the spice is spicy, and the cumin in the rice is so deliciously fragrant. "

"Amazing food. As a Trinidadian, Indian cuisine is more than familiar to me. This place is fireeee. I ordered the lunch special of the Lamb Curry-- and of course you get blessed with a great portion. Naan bread and daal is also given. Flavorful, right amount of spice, just mad good overall. Highly recommend ordering from here. "
"I was in NY for 3 months and had (north) Indian food about 6 times from different places. This was hands down the best.
Their Take Out Deal is probably enough to split between two normal people, or enough to gorge one incredibly hungry person. I only wish I found it sooner because I would be a regular "

"Compelling new go-to for Indian cuisine. Excellent recipes across the menu. No neon hues, just enough sweet and tangy, good size and volume of meat in dishes. Portions are not huge (homestyle) but price point is a huge attractor. Objectively the best, most consistent Indian food I've found in Brooklyn. Lassi was a bit short, the mint chutney has a lot of room to improve, but this is the place to stick with . I'm hype. Welcome to the neighborhood ."
"I ordered the samosa chaat, and it was very disappointing. The samosa was burnt and excessively oily, even though I understand it’s a deep-fried dish, this one was far greasier than it should have been. It was also lacking flavor and tasted bland overall. Unfortunately, this was the worst samosa I’ve ever had. I would not order it again."

"Ordered their Kati rolls. Delicious! Nice job and I look forward to trying your other dishes. I am very fussy about Katie rolls and these were fantastic. The portions are also great. Two very filling Kati rolls in one order. "
"any chicken dishes that aren't tandoori are best avoided. their Chicken Makhani was basically ketchup and turmeric and sugar. the garlic naan was rubbery. portions were small - only 4 tiny pieces in the chicken tikka. would not order or visit again."

"The food was so good, the Chicken was so tender and tasted amazing, the Macaroni Pie also was packed with favor. The portions were so massive tho I definitely need to order something smaller for just myself next time!"
"The Boneless Chicken roti was amazing! Completely boneless, which made eating it very easy. Slightly spicy without being overwhelming. The size is about two of your hands put together. It's very thick as well so I had to eat it in portions. Would definitely buy again."

"Overall nice flavors and overall quality, though I was quite disappointed by the amount of meat in the Lamb Biryani and (to a slightly lesser extent) the cheese in the Paneer Saagwala. As others mentioned, the Mango Lassi was excellent and reasonably priced for a change!"
"I usually love this place, but word to the wise: do not get the Shrimp Tandoori- it's 7 pieces of tiny shrimp so a total ripoff for the price."
