"Food arrived hot and the portions was enough for two. Curry chicken wasn't too spicy just the way I like it and the baked macaroni and cheese
was delicious as well as the candi yams couldn't get enough of them. I truly "ENJYOED" my dinner and will be ordering this dish again. And the driver was on point. I was VERY SATISFIED!
"
"It was good overall. I got the jerk chicken, but honestly it tasted more like a spicy BBQ chicken than traditional jerk chicken. The flavor was still good though. The cabbage was good and was probably my favorite part of the meal.
The mac and cheese was just okay. It didn’t seem to have much seasoning—not even salt—but you can easily add your own seasoning at home. The cheese ratio was a little off too; there was more cheese on top than mixed throughout the mac and cheese itself.
I only ordered the $12 meal because I wanted to try the place first. One thing I noticed was that the chicken was mostly bones with very little meat on them. I’m not sure if that’s because I got the smaller meal or if that’s just how they serve it.
My boyfriend also got the jerk chicken with yams and rice and peas. The yams and rice and peas were good, but pretty simple.
The food definitely wasn’t nasty, but there wasn’t really a “wow” factor either. If you’re looking for something affordable and don’t mind adding a little extra seasoning to suit your taste, it’s worth trying. Overall, I’d give it a 4/10"

"Beef patty was good 10/10. Oxtail Medium was also very good, it is spicy in my opinion. They gave a lot of oxtail. "
"Glad I gave this place a try, the food was pretty good!! I got Curry Goat Medium , White Rice, and cabbage. Portion size was decent! A lady who was very nice called me to let me know they were out of plantains so I got potato salad instead. It had peppers and corn in it which I actually liked!
The goat was tender and seasoned. The rice and cabbage needed a bit more flavor but I added my own seasoning and it was good.
Would try again."

"Alright, I had to call my momma once I tried their Curry Chicken just to smack her through the phone! Before taking a bite, I told myself that I would only eat half of it; HOWEVER, once I took the first bite...I looked up and it was all gone! The seasoning was not too spicy and just right! I love the stringed cabbage side, and the rice and peas is delicious!! Will be a go to spot while im here in New Jersey! Also, try to order during happy hour!!!"

"Very Gernerous portions and deliciously seasoned! my only complaint was the beans, they weren't seasoned whatsoever but I mixed it with the sauce that came with the Shrimp Mofongo and that jumped up the flavor greatly. the Pernil came with chicharrón as well and was extremely tender and flavorful. Definitely my go to spot from now on"

"First I must say it is the best Relleno De Papa/ Patatoe Ball I have had and I have been searching. I'm sad because I ordered two and only received one:( instead they sent two Maduros / Sweet Plantains. While they are good, after tasting the Relleno De Papa/ Patatoe Ball I wish I had both of them. The $12 Pollo Asado (grilled chicken) With Pastelitos meal is a great size and very filling. The flavors are authentic and definitely will be one of my faves. The yuca was exceptional. I was able to order it as one of the sides with onions which was great."

"WARNING ⚠️.For $39.00 Oxtails you get 3 small Oxtails and the rest is all rice and bones. And definitely DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY. My girl order oxtails and it was all bones and a ton of rice. The name is Shell Pots under Karnival Foods. My turkey chips were great! I can't find turkey chips anymore anywhere I traveled from Delaware to not be disappointment one bit! I will be ordering again!!!"
"Shelpots is what happens when you focus on one part of the meal and not the meal as a whole. I ordered the Salmon with the honey glaze and I'm offended that for $30, they gave me 3 small parts of salmon. So instead of one filet, it seems like they had 3 pieces floating around their kitchen and decided to give them to me. I would NEVER serve that out of my kitchen. When I opened the platter, I was in shock at the audacity.
The yams were straight from the can. Greens were dry. The mac and cheese was good but who cares when the rest of the meal was prepared carelessly. The rice was instant or parboiled. The wings were fried well but lacking seasoning.
I will not be ordering from this place again. They cut corners and hope you don't notice. Food is way too expensive these days to be playing with people like that."

"I absolutely love their food! The Pernil Al Horno / Pork Shoulder was so tasty and juicy the best I've ever had!! The Chicharrón de Cerdo / Fried Pork Rinds was so tender, perfectly flavored, and crispy loved it!!! The Platillo de Pollo Guisado / Stewed Chicken Platter was awesome too!!! Definitely gotta give this place a try I been eating Spanish food for years & I'm super impressed "
"Overall, I get the essence of home... an authentic dish from my titi's house. However, sometimes the pernil is absolutely perfect and other times it's very dry. The only time we get the right amount of rice is if we ask for no salad. I find the salad to be a waste because it's already dressed and arrives soggy. We love salad, just not soggy. I understand the restaurant uses good containers but they are children sized portions for quite a bit of money. I dine at fine restaurants and well appointed restaurants where the dishes are more expensive than their street counterparts, but the portions and the quality of the food command the prices. I would increase my rating to at least a four if mi amigos would consider improving their portions and making sure the pernil is succulent each time. Gracias!!"

Typically get the pork tacos, shredded beef tacos, and carne asada burrito with extra cheese, and I can't get enough of their red sauce.
So excited for them to be on DoorDash as well!
Even considered them catering my wedding, sadly it's 2.5 hours away lol. Love them! "

"So I liked that it was well packaged and that they made it fresh but I will say it was too salty so unfortunately we couldn't finish our food . Next time please make sure your sauce that you put on top of the meats is not as salty . I will probably order again but will ask for their wasacaca sauce on the side not on top."

"Es muy poco la porción de chocolate para todo lo que hay que ponerle"
"This is simply not worth the price. The Bandeja Parcera / Parcera Tray comes with a slab of beef which is well seasoned and a MATTRESS of rice. Everything else is either subpar or completely unacceptable. Starting with the god awful pork rinds. They were like chewing rubber that was encased in cement. No flavor due to the old staleness of them. Everything else was simple to the platter except for the bowl of beans. Hands down my favorite thing on there was the Beans, flavorful, plentiful, and overall a very pleasant experience to get past the others."

"OMG!!! I very rarely write reviews, but in this case, I had to. The Cajun Shrimp Fried rice was not only perfectly seasoned, loaded with tender shrimp, and steaming hot, but the portion was literally enough for 4 people to eat as a meal by itself... especially since I mixed an order of sausage in with it 😀 Fries were equally excellent & well portioned. BoomBoom Sauce was very tasty. If ordered something similar at a Chinese (or any restaurant really) would be half the quantity & quality for double or even triple the price 😒🙄. No thanks... From now on I'll stick with Ruby's!"
"Not gonna lie I've ordered this 5 times for a reason lol....they always give more than the description whether it's corn or potatoes! they give plentyyy of shrimp if one big cluster or two aint enough! i will say last time my potato was a bit raw for me but idk what's better eating it as soon as u get it or reheating day 2!! please dont ever go
outta business....guys dont be scared of the price or spiciness it's super flavorful and worth it if u wanna feel fancy at home"

"I am addicted to the honey cloudy latte! Get the extra large size! The breakfast sandwiches are huge and freshly cooked. Bagels are huge and fresh. Alittle pricey but worth every penny and I can't stay away!"
"I ordered a Pineapple Express Smoothie and a Allstar All Star Favorites - Triple Play on an everything bagel. This is my first time trying this place and they did not come to disappoint! My sandwich was hot, filling and everything fresh! I could taste every item on the bagel and I would order again. The smoothie was a perfect blend, not too sweet or too tart. The sandwich was huge, I only ate half before falling asleep! I look forward to trying other items in the menu. The staff has to be amazing, you can taste the love in the food."

"I hate to leave these kind of reviews and wish only for improvements. The Beef Chimi was falling apart. Never ever had a chimi with ground beef and so much sauce. The Plátano Maduro y Pollo / Fried Sweet Plantains and Chicken. Pequeńa/Small yaroa's had very little maduros and too much cheese, the chicken was a bit dry but not bad in taste. The Cereza / Cherry juice was ok. "
