"Shallot is the best Thai restaurant in the area. The food is phenomenal - I've never had a bad meal from there - and the staff are friendly and professional. Now that they're back, I hope that Thai Shallot remains a fixture in our community for many years to come.
Though I've tried many of their dishes over the years, I always come back to the Pad Thai Country Style (doesn't matter what protein you get; my favorites are tofu and shrimp). The Seafood Madness is phenomenal, Crazy Noodles are quite good, and the Thai Custard with Sticky Rice is hands down the best dessert I've had at any restaurant anywhere EVER. I was in withdrawal from that dessert for the time that Shallot had closed and had even tried to make it myself (that did not work out very well).
If you're looking for an amazing Thai dinner at a decent price (and excellent value for the price), Thai Shallot should definitely be on your radar!"
"Pad Thai was great - plenty of quality white meat chicken, good ratios/balance of noodles to other ingredients, they didn't skimp on anything. Could have benefited from a bit more sauce but will overlook that bc they actually made mine without bean sprouts like I requested!
Pot stickers- not so great. Chose fried version but they were hard (tooth shattering) and dark brown/burnt on one side and soggy victims of foil bag condensation on the other. Did not travel well. Further disappointing was amount of ginger sauce! Small container was just under half full. However, given all 4 pieces had inedible scorched wrappers, I suppose the dipping sauce was poured accordingly. Feeling buyers remorse bc I could have grabbed these at Trader Joe's and prepared them better myself for a fraction of the $9 spent on an appetizer that was basically the fillings of 4 potstickers."

"I love Fresh Side. They always do it right. My Vietnamese tea roll, the Edo Rice T-Roll, the Ribs and curry Spicy Chicken were all fantastic! The virgin Soft Tropical Sangria holds a special place in my heart. I just wish it came in a bigger size! <3 Thank You Fresh Side!!"
"Tried the Ribs, and I was not disappointed. I love the flavor, and the portion was just right for the money. I would definitely order them again and plan to soon.

"Excellent! The Pork Dumplings Pan Fried ( 5 Pieces) 肉煎胶 were so flavorful. Best around. And the Tom Yum Soup was really wonderful. I will definitely be getting them again"
"Everything I ordered tastes wonderful. The 上海小笼包 / Shanghai Soup Dumpling (Port)( 6 Pieces) are my absolute favorite and HIGHLY recommended them! The 印度面包 / Roti Canai has a wonderful spice to it as well. The 鸡肉生菜包 / Chicken Lettuce Wrap are addicting and I will 100% get them again. The 泰式黄梨咖哩 / Thai Pineapple Curry is creamy, savory and has a mild spice. (It's delicious). I need everyone to order from them and keep them in business because this has become one of my favorite restaurants around. Order from Monsoon Bistro, you will not regret it."

"Really love that they always package sushi separately from hot food! Even though the warm shrimp tempura roll was in the same container as the California roll, I didn't care. Super fresh, wicked tasty! The noodles were great, shrimp cooked perfectly, nice amount of chicken. I think most of the beef is on the bottom but I haven't finished them yet. A simple yet lovely anniversary dinner, thank you for doing the cooking so I didn't have to, K's! We love ordering from you. Also a plus, they confirmed the order right away and a dasher was there within minutes of the order being confirmed so everything got to us super fast! Wish I had taken a pic but we were hungry and dove right in instead!"
"Hibachi Chicken is my favorite thing to order! You get a good big portion size and it's always fresh and delicious. The cute bento box that it comes in as the cherry on top. The Sweet Potato Roll is so delicious and crispy and flavorful, since I don't eat seafood this is the best tasty alternative."

"This Gyu Don takes me back my my time in Japan.. it tastes just like I remember it, and a large portion, no less. The pickled daikon makes it pop for me. This is my go-to comfort food, and I will be ordering it again!"
"This is my favorite restaurant in the area. I ordered from Osaka at least once a week.
The Spicy Maki Combination Dinner tuna roll and spicy salmon roll or any roll actually has the greatest ratio between rice and filling. Everything is tender and spicy and sweet and just the way it's supposed to be with the right amount of crunch.
The 3. Green Phoenix is like butter. It's amazing. I would change nothing. Everything is super fresh and lovingly assembled.
I also love the way they handle everything with such attention to detail and personalization. If there's a better sushi restaurant, it has to be in Japan :-)"

The icy bayberry juice is an authentic Chinese import, and the hong shao rou C5.Braised Pork in Mao Style tastes just like it came from a gourmet joint in Shanghai or Beijing. "As a big fan of authentic Asian cuisine, I really enjoyed the dishes and look forward to a dine-in experience in the near future. "REALLY GREAT!! I just moved to the area from NYC and I was worried there wouldn't be any good, spicy Indian food around here. This place is definitely a keeper. The Paneer Masala Dosa was delicious and definitely had plenty of kick. The Sabji Sag Malai was also very good, a great veggie dish. All very hearty & filling. I'll definitely be trying lots of things on the menu!"
"The Lamb Biryani is very aromatic and delicious. It has a little kick to it but it comes with plenty of raita to balance that out if itsaa concern. The lamb is also very tender and they dont skimp on the portion. The Naan is ok. It tastes like it has baking soda or just has a weird saltiness to it. "

"Food was great as always. Egg rolls are huge! Big portion of rice. I thought I was getting boneless spare ribs so I was very surprised to open the container and see how large these were but they have a bone which is fine, the flavor is still good just not what I was expecting. I scheduled the delivery so it would arrive as I was getting home from work and the timing was spot on! Even got there a few minutes early than expected. Love this place, will continue to order in person and online. :)"

Thoughtful efficient packaging. We have many Chinese restaurants in my city, but none are as good as Gung Ho. I highly recommend."
"Chicken fingers were small but tasted ok. The rice had an odd flavor I can't pin point. The spareribs were very fatty. The crab rangoons were good. "Literally cannnot express how superior Golden Peacock is compared to other Chinese food places locally.
The Barbecued Pork Lo Mein was the perfect balance of ingredients, and a really good texture. Tasted great.
The 12. Beef Teriyaki (2), Boneless Spareribs, Chicken Finger (3), Pork Fried Rice was 10/10. Their spareribs are so flavorful and the Pork Fried Rice was amazing. I don't usually eat pork fried rice, but I could eat the pork fried rice here every day!!

"Very delicious, Tao's never fails to deliver quality food. The Spicy Tekka Roll and Philadelphia Roll were excellent. Much better than other restaurants in the area."
"Order General Tso’s Chicken and Crispy Sesame Chicken, which were okay in taste but lacked flavor and were very mushy in texture. The tempura shrimp was overpriced for only two pieces, costing just over 11 dollars, and was neither fresh nor appealing. I am highly disappointed. The chicken fingers tasted of old oil and batter, and the vegetables served alongside the tempura shrimp were also greasy and stale. The Crab Rangoon contained no seafood or meat filling and was neither sweet nor salty, lacking any real flavor. Overall, I am deeply dissatisfied after spending over 100 dollars on food that seemed reheated, leftover, and poorly prepared. I will never spend another cent at this restaurant. If I could feature this place on a food show to expose its flaws, I would. The terrible taste of the food makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen. Save your money and order from elsewhere. As a first-time customer, this was my last visit to this restaurant. "

Today we went for the Chicken Curry, and the Vegetable Curry. They weren't highlighted on the menu, but they were GREAT! I wish there had been a bit more of the curry sauce, because it was VERY tasty! It had just the right amount of spiciness. Of course the chicken was very tender, and the vegetables there are ALWAYS very fresh and cooked perfectly.

"fresh and hot generous portions will order again. Golden Chicken Fingers were soooo soft and tender D23. Orange Chicken Combo was amazing"
"My order was received missing the Wonton Soup , which is honestly the only thing I truly wanted. I ordered a chicken dish, 5. Hong Sue Gai, that was described as having breaded chicken amongst rice and veggies with brown sauce... but it was literally chicken fingers golden fried to add to a mix of mostly bok choy. The sauce was brown, but totally not flavorful. I had asked to add spice and that wasn't done.
Good things- the Crab Rangoon are decent. The crunchies to go into the soup that didn't come were good. The veggies were healthy and fresh. Portion is very large.
Overall, the missing soup made me rate them with less than a like, which is what this food would typically be. I might order them again, but would just order different things. I did get a DoorDash refund for the soup."

I forget what that's called to do at the moment lol there was hardly any rice and a bazillion beans so that was a smidge annoying . the bottom of the bag was wet it's black bean juice and unstable but i noiticed it and didn't lose anything. I asked for Utensils Napkin and got none. the burrito was delish. I wish it ha a smidge more teriaki sauce or that you can ask for some on the side. they are stingy with the chipotle sourcream for some reason. u asked for 4 and got 1.but they usually forget to include it entirely so it was a win of sorts lol I haven't ordered for a while and was in the mood. was yummy and I like the value and quality. just wish they'd be better with customer service stuff like not skimping in rice or forgetting napkins or condiments that were requested. or to make sure it's packaged well . that stuff matters"

"ordered apps (boneless ribs, fingers, rangoons) and veg fried rice and container hot mustard. all recieved except mustard. Rangoons were light and crispy, good filling. fingers small, but good. small seems to be the norm everywhere now. ribs different then most - they're sauced but were tasty. duck sauce better then most. veg fried rice has tiny diced veggies, was ok. overall, food better then most in springfield area these days. would order again. "
"Pad Thai okay. Gyoza - burnt & Fried Crab Rangoon were on the small size for what we paid & there being $1 up charge from the website via door dash not right IMO but I have to admit I would order the Fried Crab Rangoon over and over again even though they are small. The hot dipping sauce was a perfect compliment. "

"The portions are great! I grew up in China and I like Asian Taste a lot. The braised beef brisket is kind of tough on some chunks but the flavor is quite good especially if you soak white rice in the juices. Beef meifun is yummy too! My go to order is usually the special spicy chicken and taro oxtail (mixian, obv), though, which I also highly recommend."

"The Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice was amazing, it really stole the show. Our other rolls were still good too. The Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice is kind of like a crisped maki roll, about the same amount of food as the Alaska Roll and Philadelphia Roll, maybe a bit more. The maki rolls were good portions.
The food arrived fresh and in protected delivery bags.
I will definitely order from here again. I would like to check them out for sit down too."

"I've been ordering from here for a few years, and I've never been disappointed. quickly became a go-to comfort food
the soups are all delicious tbh. it's also a big serving (32oz/1qt) so it feeds me for multiple meals. they also package the noodles separately when you get it to go or delivered. the soup is also somehow always piping hot when I get it delivered even if it's like 35 mins away.
the fish is good quality so the sashimi is worth it as well. they have a wide variety of basic rolls but also unique ones which is nice.
they truly have SO many options I feel like everyone can find something they'll like
my absolute favorites are the Xiao Long Bao (I get them every time), Pickled Mustard & Pork Noodle Soup, and the Sesame Cakes (2) (the sesame balls are good too tho)"
"not a lot of chicken in the kung pao chicken, and not the best quality (lots of connective tissue). does not come with rice. sesame cakes not bad, but clearly cooked in well-used oil that carries a bit of a funk to it. overall not bad, but you can get much higher quality stuff in the area for a similar price! "I ordered egg Pork Egg Roll (1), only one.. they gave me two!!! As well as the duck sauce and they gave me three. I love how the chicken lo Chicken Lo Mein tastes I've just never been a fan of veggies and this is jam packed with it, doesn't matter to me though it tastes great. The Crab Rangoon (6) tastes good it just has very little filling that's it. "
"Always my GOAT japanese restaurant. Fresh, no weird fishy tastes. One roll was a bit not enough for me so I ordered three and shared with my dude. Rainbow Roll and Beach Roll were my love, but fuji roll tastes more of tempura and veggies then seafood."

"The garlic naan is perfection! It was buttery, very well seasoned and just cooked perfectly. The Manchurian Chicken's flavor was phenomenal! Not typically a dish I'd go for but my friend recommended it and I'm so happy I gave it a try. Will definitely be ordering again! Love the kheer as well!! Very generous portions with that too. The girl who checked me out was so sweet and overall just a great first experience. Definitely going to be one of my go-to spots from now on."
"Great flavors, fresh ingredients, but you can get comparable dishes from much more affordable restaurants. The BOGO deal, frankly, still isn't even worth it for the portion size. The naan is fantastic though."

"First time trying this place and I was beyond impressed by the quality/freshness, especially since I live further away and delivery was longer. Portions were great and well worth the price. The crab Small Crab Rangoon Pizza instantly became a favorite and Johnny's Fried Rice was also incredible. Definitely coming back."
"Kids Cheese Pizza had great sauce and cheese. Chocolate Lava Cake was very gooey. Reuben was out of this world- fantastic value- lots of meat. Piled high actually. Sweet potato fries were crunchy and soft (both? Idk how they do it). Everything came warm. The only bad thing was packaging. It’s a very wet… soggy brown box. And they didn’t package the side of fries separately so it was a messy unboxing. "

"Everything was incredible, the 3. Crab Rangoon (8) were absolutely stuffed with filling and delicious. The D31. Sesame Chicken was also great, big pieces of chicken and the fried rice was full of meat."
"Very disappointed we eat here all the time. Ordered two dinner platters they were loaded with soggy sticky fried rice. Hardly any of the main entree. We've never had this happen when we eat in. The picture shows all the rice that was left in the box and some of it was eaten. The garlic chicken and the chicken with broccoli was good but there should have been more of it. "

"the california rolls were so good. I usually get the california rolls from Big Y but these ones actually taste different. You can taste the crab, the avocado was super creamy and the cucumber was so crunchy. Even if I only get six, I'd rather get six of THESE than 8/11 rolls from Big Y.
10/10 willabsolutely order again. I might right now actually 😭😭🙏"
"Oh My God Roll was the ony shining star in my order. and I LITERALLY did say oh-my-gawd when I saw it AND when I popped the first one in my mouth!!soooo good an worth the $17.Tiger Eye(5pcs) was bogo and crammed into one tiny container together. they were just ok nothing special but we'd have liked our own containersCoconut Shrimp was a tiny portions sized shrimps. tasted no coconut really and I get coconut shrimps often at places. bottom ever tried. the dip was nice tho but way too much of it . shrimps were crazy soggy Crispy Calamari was just bad. straight up. rubbery. no flavor and not soggy but more overly moist and not crispy at all. excellent portion of this tho. Usumashi was just nothing really. broth with literally 5 thin floaty mushrooms and then mushroom crumbles bits in bottom? looked like bottom of the pot. I expected lots of mushroom pieces. it's drinkable but disappointing. the whole order was except the Oh My God Roll . I'd order that Any day of the week"

"the ramen is homemade and amazing. I really recommend it. the mussels were fresh and they were my favorite part other than the fish cakes ( they were amazing as well!) highly recommend it"
"I would rather eat at the restaurant than order it for delivery . The appearance of the dish was a little unappealing before you add broth especially had a different kind of mushroom then what I asked for . The portion was filling for the price and the veggie toppings had a bright color that was clearly fresh but I wouldn't buy this again unless I was eating there ."
