"I didn't like the food I ordered. Everything tasted bland and the price was high for the portion. Ordered Shaken beef with garlic noodles, meat was only a few pieces. Shaken beef (bland and not much) with fries and the fries were dry skinny McDonald's sized fries. Salted fish fried rice with shrimp was bland and low quality rice with skimpy shrimp and no flavor of salted fish. Chicken wings pieces were so tiny and fried so dry. Like those frozen lunch trucks ones. Stir fry corn with shrimp, skimpy on the shrimp, bland, and unfortunately used American corn and not the Asian corn. I don't recommend here. "The carne asada tacos were really good. Very small but you can't expect much for $3. They do use a lot of meat which compensates for the size. Bought one taco of carnitas to see how they tasted but the meat looked like it was sitting around for a long time and was very tough. Their orange chili is great and any taco is meaningless without a great salsa. It made my taco surpass the standard taco flavor. One last thing I hate to add in but they are extremely bad on the amount of onion and cilantro they put on their tacos. You would think they would cheat you on the protein since it's more expensive than onion and cilantro but this stuff makes the taco and I don't like a taco without an abundance of both! Finally the strawberry horchata, never had one before but I know what regular horchata is. I must say it was very tasty with a great flavor that tasted healthy. Although when I got to the end of the drink it started getting gritty but overall yes, I would order it again. A choice companion to accent the carne asada tacos! "We ordered their "Dubai Strawberry Cup" a while back and it was great. Flavor was excellent, good mixture of chocolate, pistachio cream, and kanafeh, and *lots* of that mixture.
There were zero (or nearly zero) empty pockets in between the strawberries.
The strawberries + topping reached above the lip of the cup, well into the space available in the snap-on lid.
We would eat it over 2 days, which was appropriate considering that it cost $20 for the larger 16 ounce size (before taxes and fees).
Each of the successive times we've ordered it, the amount of total product has decreased (strawberries plus chocolate/cream mixture), and this most recent one was basically strawberries and air pockets, with a drizzle of chocolate with an even tinier bit of pistachio cream and kanafeh. And the cup was filled to below the rim.
Clearly this review is mainly about value, since there's been less in the cup... but also it's not really a "Dubai Cup" unless the chocolate-pistachio-kanafeh-strawberry ratio is "correct."
We're overpaying for a trend. We know and accept that, but we should at least get our money's worth, and (for us anyway) should get our two full servings out of it.
We're not going to order this again.
If it had been a one time miss that would be one thing, but it's been a steady progression of dissatisfaction.
