"Just ordered for the first time from this place and what a revelation! I’m a big food snob originally from Karachi, Pakistan. Fantastic food 8.7/10! Highly recommended, this is better than most other Pakistani restaurants in the area. Very good job!
I got the behari paratha roll, bun kabab, and the halwa puri. Everything was amazing and SUPER AUTHENTIC!
The halwa had just the right amount of sweetness and cooked to perfection. The puris were perfectly fried, the aaloo tarkaari was spiced just right, the quantity of the food is incredible too, I was not able to finish the halwa puri, enough for two meals. The only thing that could be better was the achaar, please give authentic Pakistani achaar like Shan or National.
The bun kabab was very authentic, more daal in the kabab than meat, just like back home. The bun kabab would benefit from a sweeter tomato sauce like back home. But overall one of the best bun kababs I’ve had in NJ.
The behari kabab paratha roll was innovative in how it was portioned like a quesadilla, very interesting. The behari kabab was super soft and melted in my mouth just like back home. The paratha was whole wheat and should be of maida flour like back home. The chutneys were on point though. Once again the quantity was amazing.
Very good job guys!"
"Chicken Tikka Cheese Paratha The portion size was worth the price. Very well packaged but was missing cheese. There was no masala or spice taste to the chicken. could have used some chutney or sauces as complimentary sides. Just red colored chicken pieces sandwiches between buttered roti, not paratha. try to add some spicy sauce or flavours."

"This is the best Indian food in bergen county hands down. Prawns are incredible, as is lamb biryani."
"Good quality place. The food is rooted in authenticity, but has some nice nuances of their own. The Samosa Chat is very similar to what I used to get out of the cart when I worked abroad. Still looking for that magic bowl of chole that reminds me of the street vendor variety. The vindaloo was amazing. The Gosht was very flavorful and the lamb was the perfect texture and thickness. I like it thinner like gyro meat. The prawns were ok. I imagine if I ate them fresh they would've been better but some dishes can't overcome the 20-30 min in the car, especially shrimp. All in all very flavorful and decent portion size for the price point when considering it's delivery. Will get it again "

"Food was excellent and came very hot! My only suggestion would be a little lighter on the spice, the heat level. I put in comments for the Masala, Mild and it was medium, tolerable and still tasty. The sauce was thick and had a pleasant sweetness to it. The chicken was cooked perfectly! My husband had the Goan shrimp. he loves spice so he sat there and ate it while sweating and mouth on fire! As much as he loved the heat, it could have been more enjoyable if it was a little less. The bread definitely helped with calming down that heat! I spoke to a friend who is Indian and she said its a common occurrence in all the Indian restaurants to turn up that heat!
We will definitely go back and try other meals! I would just call to make sure they don't make it as spicy!! "
"Ordered Masala Dosa, Vegetarian Uthappam, shrimp fry appetizer, and was so happy. Each thing had medium spice, was non-greasy. It was affordable, large portions, and it answered my South Indian craving. The sambar was more like paruppu thoku so throw in some sambar powder and water. Chutneys were on point. Now curious to try other dishes. Tastes like Tamil home cooking. "

"As soon as I opened the package, I was greeted with an unexpected wonderful familiar aroma…wow…it was an initial reminder of why I ordered from here in the first place; and then as soon I began indulging in the meal, the two Ghee Pongal (really Ghee Khichari), and the Sambhar that accompanied, I was internally saying thank you to God and the person who made it and sent it. What a pleasant meal. Just what I needed. And definitely made earlier with love and care.
P.S. it catered to almost all my requests/notes (i.e. no onion/garlic, no refined oil, made in ghee, mild spice, less salt). It added to the smile (already there post meditation on the amazing Sattva app). And the medley of spices in the Sambhar were a perfect accompaniment with the requested milder Ghee Khichari/Pongal. It was calling for Idlis that I am sure to consider ordering next time.
When given enough advanced notice, Kapisa Cafe has been very responsive and accommodating of all needs. What a Gem!
Further feedback for improvement (this applies to all Indian restaurants really): It’s time we started using more compostable containers for take out; better for us and better for the planet. Will really help encourage more frequent hesitation-free ordering if this was available. Well that’s all. Really felt the need to share after the wonderful meal. Thank you!

"It was the first time i had ever tried butter chicken and it was DELICIOUS! So juicy and the sauce was so flavorful. The rice was perfectly cooked and the serving size was impressive too. Im ordering more as i type this lol. "
"Delivery time was exactly what they said it would be. I'm old fashioned, I tip in person so the delivery guy knocked on the door and I showed my appreciation for the on time drop off $$. Food was still hot, thumbs up - as for the butter chicken l was surprised that it didn't have a little kick to it (spicy heat) chicken could have been a bit more tender - the only down side is the plain naan price for 3.50, l can get a large cheese naan at that cost. Overall I would order from them again. "

"So happy to have FINALLY found good Indian food in the area. This is the fourth place we have tried on DoorDash and the only one that reminds me of what we had when we lived in NYC. Will definitely be ordering from here again. The portion sizes were good, the tandoori chicken was juicy and well seasoned. Cheese naan was delicious . I am looking forward to trying more dishes here."
"I wanted some small dishes to snack on instead of a huge meal and I was not disappointed. Their Onion Kulcha , Tomato Chutney and Eggplant n Garlic Chutneyare delicious!I also ordered the Kandhari Murgh (Malai Kabab) and a side of Aloo Fried along with some Papadum. Benares never disappoints!"

"Bukhara Grill is my favorite! Authentic and so comforting. Everything is delish, but my favorites are the Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken), Veg Samosa (V), chaat, palak paneer, and the cauliflower. Unfortunately tonight my Mango Lassi did not make it from the door dash app to the restaurant which is weird, but the rest of my order was perfect as always. Thanks! "
"Usually 5/5! Today they had no interest in servin to their usual standard!
The dal wasn't the same, more tomato-ey, the naan not nicely done and just a thick slab of dough!! The Kali Mirch Tikka is my fav usually, but they were clearly in a rush!"

"The samosa tasted great and offered good value for the price.
The dum murgh biryani was just average, nothing special. Considering the price, it was disappointing in terms of portion size, quality, and taste."
"Peri Peri Calamari was delicious. Unfortunately, the Dum Lamb Biryani was a let down. The lamb meat was a bit dry and overcooked. Rice was a bit bland, but it could be that I ordered the mild version. Paneer Tikka Masala also had less paneer than anticipated. Overall, it was a good meal."

"honestly, it's such a good place to get food! we ordered butter chicken, chicken Karahi, and mango lassi. They give you a ton of chicken and sauce which is much appreciated. I have a very sensitive stomach AND a gluten allergy and not only did they have lots of gluten free options but i asked for mild, and sometimes restaurants just aren't able to do it, so i was ready for some spice, but this restaurant made it so mild which is EXACTLY the way i wanted. It was so good, I almost ate the whole thing! the taste was absolutely delicious and fresh, the presentation was very clean and not at all messy, and the portion size was perfect! They really hit the nail on the head and exceeded my expectations! I will definitely be ordering again :) !"
"Packaging of the biryani was so greasy it ruined the bag they packed in.
Tandoori chicken cooked to perfection (fell off bone) but was so bland. The chat only had a little bit of flavor was more fried chips than aloo or dahi.
I would not order again, price is a premium for bland food"

"Quick, easy and delicious! The insulated bag kept the Garlic Naan fresh and hot. Eggplant bharta had great depth of flavor and the heat/spiciness was noticeable but gentle; a low medium I'd say. "
"Chicken Biryani rice quality is not good, the conatiner they gave it in was too small and taste is below par
Masala Chai was sent in a plastic container which is not ideal for hot beverages
They did not even include a spoon with order and my dasher waiting for too long for them to hand him the order
worst experience when a bery small portion of biryani is priced at 30 dollars"
