"This is my favorite local spot in Pasadena. I continue to share with colleagues and clients, and enjoyed sharing the Baigoon Aloo (a wonderful home-cooked eggplant curry), Chicken Tikka Masala, and Rice with my coworker at a picnic table in paseo using DoorDash. The staff is amazing, and I recommend eating in if you get the chance!
They let you request spicy and always deliver, quick to serve without compromising quality, and accommodate things like no ghee, dairy, etc. if you have restrictions. Highly, highly recommended."
"This is currently my favorite dish at Tibet Nepal House, my favorite authentic Tibetan/Nepalese restaurant in LA. I took advantage of a DoorDash deal and got to tide me over for dinner this week. I've been here in person, and the stuff is amazing. The owner, Raz, stood out after checking in on customers at each table in the cozy traditional restaurant hidden in Old Pasadena, and I've gotten to know the staff (Adam, and a few others) when I bring people to my favorite spot.
When I can, I eat in with friends and clients looking for authentic atmosphere and dishes, and would recommend their Nepalese cabbage dish, samosas, mixed tandoori platter, and Aloo Gobi. All fresh, home-made, efficient and personalized service. But it's consistently a great option to order from DoorDash as well. I tend to order very spicy, and they consistently deliver.
Thank you for continuing to provide such a great experience every time!"

"This restaurant is superb. The Vegetable Samosas were a wonderful appetizers. The Garlic Nan went perfectly with the Aloo Gobi and the Saag ( Spinach), every dish was spiced perfectly and a great amount of heat. The Basmati Rice was nice and light and went superb with the meal."
"Mahan is our "local" Indian restaurant and we couldn't be happier about it. Their food is fantastic, and the service is great. We always buy enough food for 3 meals worth, and it's somehow even better the second or third day. Highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Tikka Masala, Lamb Saag, and Mixed Vegetable Pakoras. "Honestly probably one of my favorite Indian places. They have a great selection of Masalas and Vindaloos. Their 2. Garlic Naan is probably one of my favorites but the only complaint I would have is that the amount of naan in one order is just so small... if only there could be more!!! The 100. Chicken Tikka Masala_although was amazing, did leave me sitting on the toilet for a few days but still bomb."
"Absolutely delicious.. they have not compromised on their flavor profiles all these years, and I feel the prices are worth it for deeply flavorful food where you can tell they didn't skimp on the spices. I love that it's spicy without having to request it to be spicy."

"good portion sizes for the price and soooo delicious. i ordered medium spice level for the Lamb Vindaloo and wasnt expecting it to be spicy but it still had a good amount of heat! the Mango Lassi was super creamy and not too sweet and balanced the spicy food well"
"The food was delicious, of course, but the Tofu Masala was like 80% sauce to 20% tofu, so I had to add some cooked veggies to it to make it more filling. The Saag Paneer was absolutely perfect, though. 10/10! And who doesn't love Cheese Naan?! It's perfect for wiping the leftover sauce off your plate."

"Best Shahi Paneer and Palak Paneer in LA and I'm picky as hell! Chicken Tikka from previous order had hardly any chicken. "
"The Non Vegetarian combo is a good deal and comes with a large portion. I upgraded to the lamb tika masala and it was good. Came with 3 cubes of very tender lamb meat, wish they gave more. Also upgraded the plain naan to garlic naan and did not regret it. It came with 4 pieces and the garlic flavor is strong! The Chicken Samosa (2Pc) was a little salty. "This was my first time trying India's Clay Pit, and it was excellent! We had the Sag Aloo and Paneer Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan and Vegetable Samosas. Everything was delicately spiced, not too oily or salty, just really well done. Samosas come in an order of two, again very nicely spiced and perfectly crispy but not oily. Rice came with the order. My dad had an Indian restaurant growing up, so I do consider myself something of a connoisseur... and this was such a satisfying meal. I can't wait to come back."
"The Saag Aloo tasted on the sweeter side ( like too much cinnamon or something you can taste it it's a bit overpowering) but still good. I'd give it a 6.5-7 rather get the vegetable curry again. Soda was FLAT! The portion size of the aloo partha is HUGE. Saag aloo was really oily too could have been packaged better to stop the oil from leaking in the bag( wrap it with saran wrap). Portion was decent for the price though it's enough to feed 2 once or 1 person twice."

"Best Thai food in the city, no contest. I've eaten almost everything on this menu and there's not a single miss. The curries are the best I've had -- the panang and Massaman Curry are my faves. You can tell it's quality because the coconut oil "breaks" from the sauce. This place is legit. The Kwan's Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are deliciously flavored. The tom kha is so fresh and flavorful, it tastes like they grated coconuts to make the coconut milk themselves! The crispy pork is perfection. The khao man gai and the Krapow are homey and comforting. They get the details right -- even down to "simple" things like the Chicken / Pork Satay and the clearly homemade peanut sauce -- the meat is so wildly succulent and tender that it puts other satays you've had to shame. They do not skimp on flavor. I hope people appreciate the care and details that go into making each dish truly spectacular. I dont really write reviews here but Kwan Kitchen is worth gushing about. I've eaten and cooked a lot of Thai food, I've trained under a Michelin-decorated Thai chef. This place blows every Thai spot ive ever eaten at out of the water. "
"I order this curry almost every week, sometimes two or even three times a week. However, the quality of yesterday's order and noticed that the quality of the beef was poor and different from what I usually receive. The curries are rich, flavorful, and just the right level of spice, and portions are generous every time. Super convenient delivery, food arrives hot and fresh, and it’s made me discover some amazing local spots I wouldn’t have tried otherwise. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Bangladeshi cuisine – it’s become my go-to comfort food! better than aladdin..prices are so much cheaper than aladdin restaurant.."
"Except for their Chicken Curry which was nice and soft , but definitely NOT worth ordering Beef curry or Lamb curry as the meat is Hard as a rock...ordered both separately different times and it sucked. They have amazing chicken biriyani, blows my mind they don't even have it in their menu unless you call and ask for it.."

"Definitely going to order again. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Curry are excellent. Normally, I'm not the kind of guy who can stomach spicy foods, but I found this was a great balance of flavor with just the right amount of kick to it. Very satisfied with the portion size and flavor."
"I feel bad for saying this but this place was inedible.
I ordered the chicken curry , chicken tikka masala and chicken korma . All of the sauce flavors were very muddy and the chicken had a weird texture in all of the dishes . I don't know if it was old or just horrible.
The only thing that was acceptable was the rice and naan ."

"I order from door dash. They have 2 listings. One is Mahan. Then one Veg World is the veggie menu. / there are lunch specials there. Everything comes very hot and delicious. I am enjoying this spinach tofu bowl which is excellent!"
"The Gobi manchurian wing sauce just tastes like ketchup. Not the best. The pumpkin secret is tasty but it looks nothing like the picture which has some sort of fried balls in it. It's more so just puréed pumpkin with spices. "

"The best Indian food in LA! Their Garlic Basil Naan is my fav."
"I ordered the CTM from the chicken menu, which is $2 more than the CTM in the a la carte menu, but it surprisingly didn't come with rice. I thought medium spicy might be too much for me, so I ordered the only option less spicy which is very mild, and it had zero spice. Not sure why they don't have a 'mild' option. "

"This is the best Indian food in all of LA. The eggplant dish (Bengan Bhartha is extraordinary. A lot of these recipes are old family ones passed down generations and made with fresh ingredients and an explosion of flavor. Careful with the spice level! This is real India heat! "My favorite restaurant in Pasadena! Recommend the yellow curry, cashew nut chicken (bring back!), egg rolls or any of the breakfast combos ! "
"Portion size amazing! I called to have them make it spicy and they did not do that! All the proteins are bland no seasoning straight out the pack and lightly cooked(except the beef)! The beef was overcooked and tough, I only got two shrimp, tofu is soggy and soft but that's on me I should have asked for it fried hard. The fried rice is decent, I've had better. Overall I wouldn't reorder Salaya is waay better! Overall 5/10"

"Delicious, just be mindful that the Whole charga chicken does not match the photo and description, its spiced chicken with potatoes. Still tasty though, and generous with the amount of curry you get in all their dishes. Also you def get your moneys worth of naan"
"This is truly a gem and by far a top 10 place to order from the servings are double the size of most indian places, biggest portion of Chicken Vindaloo I have had in a while like literally 1990s size, layered full flavor profile well worth the price I called to request that it be made extremely spicy they accommodated my request Garlic Naan is huge its like welll worth it portion of White Rice huge that just one piece the Raita is worth the price this place is spot on proper food large portions you will be happy to eat from here."

"Second time order from this place. Great port ions, good price and best of all delicious! "
"I was surprised at how many noodles there were and how little chicken and vegetables there were. Also, tasted like there was no sauce on it, so we put a little soy sauce on it and it was better, but not great. Nice portion size. My husband and I both had it for lunch and there's enough left over for lunch for one of us tomorrow."

"I didn't know what to expect ordering Indian gold at midnight. This is easily one of the best butter chickens I have had in all of Los Angeles. Perfectly flavorful, a good portion, well priced. This will likely be my go to spot from now on. The butter naan was also delicious."
"Strongly recommend this location!! Incredible value with a generous owner who gives so much extra food compared to what you could get at other places. Other locations will charge you for rice, while his portions include generous portions of rice, and a large amount for the Lamb Biryani. On top of that, he provided an extra dessert! Food was perfect temperature when it arrived, all the textures are on point and everything is super neatly packed. I highly recommend for an authentic and well-priced, great value dinner!"

"Never tried Thai Iced Coffee before but it was great! The taste is distinct and the drink was very refreshing and gave me the caffeine kick I was looking for during lunch.
Pad Thai here is the best I've had so far. The Tamarind is tangy and savory, the egg they put on top kept everything nice and warm, shrimp was perfectly juicy and smokey as well.
Definitely deserving of a Michelin star"
"The meal tasted exceptionally great. However, I expected the Tom Kah soup and the stir fry mushrooms to have more shrimps given the steep premium I paid. The soup only had two shrimps and the stir fry had 5. Not a great value proposition for a $25+ meal. "
