"I have placed orders from Krispy Krunchy several times in person with no issues. That is why I felt comfortable ordering via Door Dash. I was not expecting what I received yesterday.
I ordered catfish which was unbelievably hard (tough), mushrooms (the breading appeared dried out and very well done) and a biscuit which was the only item that I didn't have a problem with.
I tried to eat the food because it was actually my dinner but I couldn't finish because it tasted so bad. I put what I didn't eat in the refrigerator but I am sure it will taste worse today so I am just going to throw it away.

This month, I’ve been making an effort to support small businesses because I’ve been disappointed by the customer service at so many large corporations. Tonight was my first order, and it was for my sister, who is pregnant with triplets.
I don’t expect perfection, and they happened to be out of macaroni and cheese (which honestly tells me the food must be amazing because it sold out!). Summer, one of the employees, contacted me right away to let me know they had just served the last of it. She even offered to make an entirely new pan if I wanted some, explaining it would only be about a 30-minute wait. Keep in mind, they only had about an hour left before closing! That level of customer service was incredibly thoughtful and truly went above and beyond.
I don’t like inconveniencing people, and neither does my sister, so Summer also gave us several alternatives to choose from. Realistically, restaurants run out of popular items, and that’s completely understandable. We decided on collard greens instead.
I mentioned that the meal was for my sister, who is pregnant with triplets and due any day now. Since she hasn’t gone into labor yet, her doctors are still allowing her to eat. As a sweet surprise, they included an extra side of candied yams. When I arrived to pick up the order, everyone was just as kind. They congratulated us on the three new additions who will soon be joining our family, and they genuinely shared in our excitement.
This is exactly what I love about small businesses and what I sometimes miss at fast-food and chain restaurants. It’s the personal connection. The people cared. They related to us. I didn’t feel like I was just another transaction—I felt like a valued customer and, more importantly, a human being.
They have absolutely earned my business, as well as my family’s. I will be leaving positive reviews everywhere I can and recommending them to everyone I know.
