"I was underwhelmed by my order. This was probably my 3rd experience with Ruthie's. The first time I ate inside. The last time and this time, I ordered takeout. The shrimp enchiladas were just okay. They seem to have switched to small, salad shrimp that were not deveined and aren't a good texture for enchiladas. I was disappointed to be charged 3.25 for white cream sauce instead of ranchera. Just seems a little high, especially when the enchiladas were on the dry side. The rice and beans portions are smaller than most Mexican restaurants. I honestly don't leave reviews very often but I wasn't very happy with this experience. "

For example, the Elote en Vaso would have been better if there was an option for the toppings to be on the side incase of long delivery time. Packaging/setting of the sopapillas also wasn't prepped really for to-go food. Most restaurants would've at least provided the sauce on the side to help prevent the item from getting soggy. Same with the tortillas for the carne guisada - most restaurants would package them in foil and parchment but they packaged it in a ziploc bag. I even called the restaurant just to make sure they were the ones to package it that way and they confirmed.
