"Previously ordered the goat biriyani and idly which was good. Ordered the chicken biriyani this time. The rice was good but the chicken was terrible. Tasted like it was a day old and reheated. "Delicious, unique flavours, hearty portions, and friendly staff! Love the concept and their menu and will return."
"So good, everything was enjoyable and it arrived fast too.
The Chicken Dum Biryani (Bone-less) was very fragrant and flavourful, especially served with a delicious salan that was just the right amount, and then the raita with gulab for desert made it complete. My only annoyance was the I called in ahead and asked if the meat would be chicken breast, but it was boneless thigh which some people might prefer, but I would not have ordered it.
The Soldier Chicken is the ultimate appetizer. I went straight for them and they were so good thought the portion is definitely for one person. I also like that if you buy rice with it, you can take the left ove garnish and put it ontop of your main dish.
The Idly Vada Combo along with the side chutneys was a great price and I would have ordered two because I still had a lot of idly left.
I am glad to know this resto exists and will be checking it out again for Indian food. "

"the fries were good
I feel like the fries had more seasoning on them than the whole pizza that I got.
There's never a time when getting Indian food that it should feel under-seasoned.
Also, the dough they used is mid I thought it was gonna be like naan bread but no it's definitely like pizza dough which again is fine, but not what I expected."
"Pizza crust tastes good, soft like naan. The toppings were so bland. This is coming from someone who loves Indian food and 99% of the time strays away from the spices. Didn't taste the tomato sauce. Chickens barely seasoned. All I tasted was bread, mozzarella and half seasoned bland tandoori chicken.
Look at the colour of the tandoori chicken in the photo... I hope it's just this combination because I'd recommend taking off this item.
I wanted to try more pies based off the bread but this flavour combination was really not good. If it tastes better to just order tandoori chicken and eat it with plain naan, you're doing something wrong."

"The fried rice was pretty good. It had that typical street-style Chennai chicken fried rice taste, and the flavor was great. The only issue was that there were barely any chicken pieces in it. I would rather they charge a bit more and add a decent amount of chicken.
The chili chicken was not great. It was way too oily and salty. It did not really taste like chili chicken, more like fried chicken pieces tossed in ketchup and chili sauce."

"A small South Indian restaurant that amazed me!
The most amazing dosa in town! If you like the Indian taste and want to spice things up, ask him for the special gunpowder. The chutney and sambhar equally matchup to the dosa and overall a perfect crisp delight!
We ordered chicken 65 as appetizer followed by two different dosa, one Mysore Masala Dosa.
Best kothu parota ever I had.
Although a small kitchen, the ingredients used to cook the food are fresh, good quality and the chef does a fantastic job in balancing numerous spices.
What I like the most about this restaurant is most of the food is made to order so it will take time from order to completion so I suggest order before you leave home, it is worth it.
The chef has magic in his hands.
Very kind and polite and friendly person.

"Kalyug is one of my favorite restaurants in Canada. The food always reminds me of home, and honestly, I haven’t found a better taste anywhere else. The quality, flavor, and authenticity are outstanding. For me, Kalyug deserves a full 5-star rating.
I would just like to suggest a couple of small improvements. First, my order did not include disposable cutlery. It would be helpful if cutlery were included with takeout and delivery orders. Even if there is a small extra charge for it, I would not mind paying.
Second, the spicy sauce and the pickled onions (vinegar-marinated onions) were provided in very small quantities. These sides add a lot to the overall meal experience, and it would be great if a little more could be included, especially for regular customers.
Other than these minor suggestions, everything was excellent. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are satisfying, and the taste truly feels like home. I can honestly say that I haven’t had better Indian food anywhere else in Canada. Kalyug has earned my 5-star rating, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, home-style food"
"Overall the value for money was not there. Noodles were good, a quality item. Spring rolls felt like they were cheap frozen, just heated up and served. Green chutney while acceptable was simply too much in terms of quantity.
It seems as though the restaurant has its priorities set on wrong things."

"Paneer Butter Masala was delish. Perfect spice. Shrimp Biryani was good, very generous portion.
Pulka bread is quite small. It's yummy but I wish it was bigger.
Roti was a tad dry.
Overall I'm very happy with my order! "
"Very disappointed with this meal. The meat was extremely hard, looked very dark, almost black in places and seemed old and stale. The quality was unacceptable. I expected fresh, tender meat, and this was a waste of money."

"The biriyani was good, I ordered kattapa mutton serving 3 portion.

"I have never had such a bad taste biriyani in life. Just red chili powder mixed with white rice. And that too not mixed properly. No flavour, over cooked rice, and now come to chicken part, literally boiled chicken with no salt. And only 3 small pieces, Anyways no one could eat a single piece with this disgusting taste so thanks for only 3 pieces . Felt like I could have slept without eating. "
