"I ordered the vanilla Bundt cake through DoorDash and was pleasantly surprised by how well it traveled—arriving neatly packaged with the frosting still perfectly intact. The cake itself was incredibly moist with a rich, buttery flavor that tasted homemade, not mass-produced. The cream cheese frosting was smooth and tangy, complementing the sweetness of the vanilla without overpowering it. While simple in flavor, the quality and texture made it clear this was a carefully crafted dessert. A comforting, satisfying treat worth reordering.

"I expected more then 6 pieces of oxtails for $23. No gravy texture, more like au jus sauce or something. The meat was tough, I had to fight with it to eat it.... some of the rice was undercooked and it's something about the yams I was not feeling them. Wont be trying again."
"I ordered the oxtail platter and it was absolutely amazing! The meat was tender, flavorful, and fell right off the bone. The seasoning was perfect, and the portion was more than satisfying. Everything was fresh, hot, and seasoned just right. Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had on DoorDash—definitely ordering again!"

"Samosa is delicious, I like how the potatoes lose coherence in the mixture.

"Took amazing care of us and the food was absolutely wonderful. We got a wide variety of dishes so far and liked everything we ordered. My wife loved the chicken tikka masala, which is usually too spicy for her but their mild was just right. The lamb melted and barely needed chewing. Fantastic place with amazing Indian food. "
"I was a little hesitant ordering from a restaurant with no reviews, but boy did it pay off! The butter chicken, chicken saag, and veggie pakora were all packed with flavor and absolutely delightful. In fact, the pakora were so good I ended up eating all of them before I even unpacked the rest of my food. I'm so glad there's such a great Indian restaurant in the neighborhood and can't wait to try something new next time! "

"Venn Pongal's quantity has been increased since my previous review. It is okay in quantity now for the price. The food is very good and overall a very good Indian restaurant in the city!"
"The Kothu Parotta and the Masala Dosa were absolutely delicious- they're always our go to orders when are at Amma's/get takeout from them . Flavorful and filling. The Masala Dosa is definitely better served at the restaurant because the filling is kept separate from the dosa and after delivery time, the dosa is not as warm. Still, flavors are great. The Rasamalai was tasty but portions were small (only 3 pieces) and overpriced, texture of the cheese was denser than I've had at other places but still great. The Tamarind Fish curry (Meen Kulambu) was sweet, nice to try but not necessarily something I would order again. Overall I love Amma's- my favorite Indian spot in Philly. "

"I've lived in Philadelphia for over 15 years and am finally done looking for my go-to for take out Indian. All the dishes we ordered were seasoned well and appropriately for the different types of vegetables and curries. Often, I find from other restaurants that all the dishes taste the same. At Taste of Punjab, the Palak Paneer, Dal Tadka, Bhindi Masala and Chicken Tikka Masala all had different complex flavor profiles and were devoured. Also, the Garlic Naan was fluffy and delicious. I will be ordering from here again and again. Tasted just like mama makes at home! You won't be disappointed!"

"Absolutely loved the Beef Bhuna Rasmalai Butter Naan everything hit the spot! and this coming from a desi food habitual critic. Cant believe the prices too, the naan was huge and properly weighty enough for one. Rasmalai is perfect and a steal at 4 bucks, you get 5 plus cheeses a whole meal by itself. Beef was absolutely delicious just like how I remember from back home absolutely devoured it. Something that needs improvement is packaging, a plastic bag is not proper. Loved the meal tho"

"Ordered a C5 Chicken Tikka Masla and Tandoori Rotti i. The chicken was delicious, but unfortunately, it was excessively oily, making the overall dish too greasy compared to other Indian restaurants. Additionally, the Tandoori Roti seemed to be made with more white flour than wheat flour, which I didn't enjoy, and it too was overly oily.
In another separate order, we tried the Navratan Korma, which was also excessively greasy. I wish they would use less oil in their cooking; I prioritize both taste and health when dining out. It's a good restaurant to eat in if you just care about the taste."

"Loved the spice level and the taste is purely nostalgic, reminds me of India and truet flavor. Have eaten at the store and now eating it in delivery tastes same. Good quality and will definitely order again"
"It is okayish if you consider authentic Indian food. But it is closest to Indian food that you can get in Philly. So worth a try for the price. Other places are expensive. This is cheap and good. Veggie Samosa was really good. Paneer Wrap was really really spicy for no reason. Chicken Biryani and Pav Bhaaji were okay. "

"Was really missing the closedown of the Blue Bell location so I ordered here. Butter Chicken was cheap and super filling, Garlic Naan was cooked well. Packaging was still hot after 20 minutes! Mango Lassi was very refreshing. The chicken was very large chunks and the amount given was larger than other places. I will order from here again in the future."
"My goodness! This restaurant instantly became one of my favs! The Butter Chicken was delicious (very grateful that it came with some rice) and the Naan was delicious as well! The serving size was also wonderful for the price! Definitely ordering from here again!"

"Really good food! Good price/portion! The jollof rice could be more flavor but the sauces on the side made up for that. Chicken was super tender and well seasoned. Plantain was cooked to perfection! And I love the addition of the pasta salad on the side, it pairs well, very refreshing! "

"The flavor of food is good, however the portions are very small for the amount that you pay. I've paid $20 for a whole tandoor chicken, theirs is $20 for 2 legs... the bowls with the main course are super small... i spent close to $100 for meal that prob should have cost $40 based on the amount of food."

"Firstly, I've never had someone serve 1 single piece of uttapam in an order.. (please try this in Bengaluru and you'll know!) .. please specify this in your menu description. Absolutely bland taste, sambar tasted stale. The only thing that helped was the tomato chutney which was worth dipping and having the uttapam. Please don't put stale products as a BOGO offer and ruin your reputation!"

"As always the Kashmiri Naan was excellent. They even put a sizeable amount of raisins in it. I'm happy, because I luv raisins.
The Vegetable Samosa were excellent also.
I did not like The Veggie Pakora. I'm sure it was air fried because It was not crispy-It was kinda soft. A mouthful of mush"
"I order from (or dine at) Saffron in Bala Cynwyd sometimes. This is a different Saffron completely, and not as good. Samosas are very salty outside and mushy inside. All of the sauces are quite runny. The flavors aren't bad, so maybe it's better when it's not so late at night?"

"Butter chicken is consistently good. Good flavor, mild spice level. The Veggie Samosa are crispy and flavorful. "
"The Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) had an odd smell to it, followed by something that didnt taste like Butter Chicken to me. There was also about 10 small bitesized pieces of chicken that was not worth $18 - I've gotten much larger portions for less $$ at other restaurants.
Both of the ice creams were severely frost burned, with hard ice covering the containers. When I got the lids off, the ice cream looked old, frost burned and like it had previously melted and was refrozen. It was just all so sad in the end..."

"Chicken 65 is delicious! Everything we ordered was great. Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) tastes lighter than other places. Chicken Curry was also amazing and lighter. Our new go to Indian spot! "
"My family has been trying to find a new Indian restaurant and this place is amazing. The naan in the Bread Basket was so fresh, light and fluffy. The Shrimp Tikka Masala and Chicken Tikka Biryani were both incredible, and the portions were very generous. The breakout hit for us were the Indian Buffalo Wings. They have a perfectly balanced sweet heat with the sauce, while the wings themselves were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Would definitely order again."
