"We are REALLY lucky to have Piedmont Cafe. The affordable greasy spoon diner is a dying breed anyway, but this place? Honestly, if they were open late at night a few nights a week or even all week? And if they had a few booths and a jukebox, but kept it alcohol-free, this would be the perfect place. I also think they would benefit heavily from utilizing a space out front for a table or two outside if at any way possible; I know the location makes it tough but it's definitely been done up and down the street in different spots. Ever since Gaylord's closed there's a gap that needs filled for a place to study and have breakfast late that isn't Denny's. Anyway, if it ain't broke don't fix it, but just some ideas for them to consider, to keep them thriving so they stay viable and with us forever! "

"I normally love sesame balls, but Sesame Ball (4 pc) were super small and tasted so strange and stale/off that I ended up spitting my bite out. (Combo) Sweet & Sour Pork was an okay deal in terms of portion size, you could easily split it out into dinner for two people, but it was all so unrelentingly salty and greasy, with way too much squishy dough around the pork. Aside from green onions in the fried rice there were no vegetables that I could see, and no pineapple or onion pieces in the sweet and sour pork. I couldn't finish half of it. I won't be ordering from here again, sadly."

"We normally drive far away to eat at authentic Hunan, Sichuan, Sanghainese or Cantonese Restaurants instead of generic Chinese restaurants but I would give this local place 5 stars for simply serving deliciously cooked food. The chef here is really talented at their craft: The lemon chicken has crispy exterior and a tender interior, the green beans were crunchy and not over-fried or oily, the salt & pepper prawns were made with fresh, succulent jumbo prawns. The Sweet & Spicy Crispy Chicken / 左宗棠鸡块 was good but it didn't have any spice, which was a little disappointing, still tasty, but was more of a sweet and sour chicken versus sweet and spicy. I’m not known for giving good reviews, actually, it’s usually the opposite, especially when something’s terrible. I’m probably one of the most critical eaters in the area. I’ve traveled all over the world, tried local street food, hole-in-the-wall spots, home-cooked meals, and just about every restaurant in California. So when I say this meal was perfect, I mean it.
Whoever made my order, props to you. Everything was hot, fresh, and balanced, just the right amount of everything. Every bite was on point. The flavors, the textures, it all came together like someone really knew what they were doing. It felt like discovering treasure. I was actually able to savor it, and that says a lot coming from me.
