You would think if the bundle Feeds Two, adding cake would give you the shareable size. Nope. Not only did they only provide the half-size piece, but it was unusually small, about 2/3 the size of the usual personal slice--not even enough for one. The steak was dry and chewy—more like leftovers than a premium protein. The wild rice was bland, barely warm, and tasted like it had been sitting for hours. The “spicy” broccoli was limp and flavorless, with no real spice or seasoning to speak of. The sweet potatoes were mushy and unevenly cooked, and the so-called “premium” pesto vinaigrette was a forgettable afterthought that didn’t tie anything together.
Portion-wise, this meal was embarrassingly small. For the price point, I expected a hearty, well-balanced bowl. Instead, I was left still hungry and wondering what exactly I paid for.
