"This was my second time ordering from Fixins'. This experience was almost as perfect at the first except in the 3 Piece Plate ,the 2 chicken breasts were fried too fast in oil that was too hot. The crust was overcooked and too dark vs golden brown.What should have been crunchy was this side of being burnt and the meat drier than expected. The chicken leg however was undercooked and as shown in the pic, still slightly bloody at the bone and drained into the box. To be safe I chose to microwave the trio for 2 mins before eating. The sides: double Collard Greens and double Potato Salad were EXCELLENT as before. I think next go around I'll go with a Veggie plate instead. To their credit, the portions are ample and filling. The Hawaii Five Oh My God Calzone is great if you like pineapple. The cheese bread is better, but the Butter and Herbs Bread is quite good still. I accidentally received a Veggie Calzone, but I'm not sure if that was a store / Doordash mistake or if I clicked the wrong one, so I won't hold it against them. Beef was not over cooked and it was tender. Beef was flavorful with hints of spices. Not overwhelming. The chicken Cordon Bleu with Your Choice of 1 was tasty. The grilled veggies that comes with it on the side could use some seasoning. I got the 1 with the spinach inside, if you like stuffed chicken than you will like this. "I have been SUPER excited to try Street Beet since they opened! They did not disappoint. The Maple Griddler was soft, fluffy, and delicious; the Cheesy Grits were savory, cheesy, and creamy. I also got a Side Gravy, a Hashbrown Patty , a Buttermilk Biscuit (I know biscuits are divisive, so not all may like these), and a Side of Bacon, which all hit the mark as well. The singular and VERY minor complaint I have is that the garnishes (scallions, chives) were not very fresh (mushy, obviously old) but this is super minor and can be easily remedied. I highly recommend their brunch, whether you're vegan or not. Can't wait to sit in and try their weekday menu!"
