"I should have sixteen reviews on Pho Gabo I order it so much. My absolute favorite Pho in the PDX area! The broth is perfect and flavorful, and they send the rare flank steak so you can cook it yourself. One big tip: I would highly recommend bringing to the broth up to a quick boil at home so you can serve it piping hot - makes it feel like you're at the restaurant. Pho Gabo also has the widest selection of toppings - and my favorite the fatty flank (many restaurants don't carry it anymore, and I love it - it's kind of an unfortunate name because people not familiar with it aren't going to order it but it's so delicious). "Finally a Vietnamese spot IN Forest Grove! I'll admit I wasn't impressed during their soft opening last summer but I told myself to give them another try after they've been open awhile now. I'm so glad I did because the pho broth was robust with flavor and delicious! I love meatball pho so I got the P1 and paid extra for more meatball. Hopfully in future they fix the P2 configuration so if you wanted to double up on a same meat as your required 2 meat selections that would be great as that would be better priced. Hubby got the P2 with rare steak and brisket and liked his too. Total fans now, will continue to try rest of the menu. I should mention when we lived in Beaverton we would go out to eat at the many different pho spots like 3-4 times per a week at least, so trust me when I say I know what great tastes like, my office is also in Portland too so I'll hit spots out there too. The shrimp skewers came with a delicious fish sauce, 3 shrimp on each skewer that were tender and full of flavor! As for the pho, it was solid. I've eaten at many places in Portland, and elsewhere so my expectations were high. Price is fare... you can't find pho anymore for under $18-20. Meat was lacking, but overall flavor was good. That being said, when our order was delivered, we opened up the packaging to find barely a tablespoon of beef in each of our pho meals (no exaggeration either!) and not a whole lot of noodles either. And paying nearly $17 for each bowl of this yummy pho, I am a little bummed out that this restaurant skimped on the beef (which there is no denying that they did). Because without the beef in this dish, your just getting noodles, a handful of bean sprouts, a pinch of onions and some basil leaves. They need to add more sustenance to this delicious dish to make it worth the price they are asking. "

"Normally I love Butterfly Belly, I'm not sure if they were just having an off night or what, but my concerns started when the dasher messaged me they had to wait an extra half an hour to pick up the food because the server was playing guitar instead of tending to customers, seating people acknowledging he was there, etc. When we got the food, they packaged it so poorly that the Thai tea had exploded all over the items in the bag & soaked everything in tea, making it inedible. Even if that hadn't happened, the food itself was nowhere near the quality it usually is. There was hardly any meat in anything, the lettuce wrap mix was mostly just onions & grease. There was no sauce at all in the vermicelli, and the egg rolls were dripping in grease. I don't know what changed, I've never had this experience before at Butterfly Belly, it was extremely disappointing.
