"Venn Pongal's quantity has been increased since my previous review. It is okay in quantity now for the price. The food is very good and overall a very good Indian restaurant in the city!"
"The Kothu Parotta and the Masala Dosa were absolutely delicious- they're always our go to orders when are at Amma's/get takeout from them . Flavorful and filling. The Masala Dosa is definitely better served at the restaurant because the filling is kept separate from the dosa and after delivery time, the dosa is not as warm. Still, flavors are great. The Rasamalai was tasty but portions were small (only 3 pieces) and overpriced, texture of the cheese was denser than I've had at other places but still great. The Tamarind Fish curry (Meen Kulambu) was sweet, nice to try but not necessarily something I would order again. Overall I love Amma's- my favorite Indian spot in Philly. "

"Took amazing care of us and the food was absolutely wonderful. We got a wide variety of dishes so far and liked everything we ordered. My wife loved the chicken tikka masala, which is usually too spicy for her but their mild was just right. The lamb melted and barely needed chewing. Fantastic place with amazing Indian food. "
"I was a little hesitant ordering from a restaurant with no reviews, but boy did it pay off! The butter chicken, chicken saag, and veggie pakora were all packed with flavor and absolutely delightful. In fact, the pakora were so good I ended up eating all of them before I even unpacked the rest of my food. I'm so glad there's such a great Indian restaurant in the neighborhood and can't wait to try something new next time! "

"Absolutely loved the Beef Bhuna Rasmalai Butter Naan everything hit the spot! and this coming from a desi food habitual critic. Cant believe the prices too, the naan was huge and properly weighty enough for one. Rasmalai is perfect and a steal at 4 bucks, you get 5 plus cheeses a whole meal by itself. Beef was absolutely delicious just like how I remember from back home absolutely devoured it. Something that needs improvement is packaging, a plastic bag is not proper. Loved the meal tho"

"Chicken Tikka Masala was VERY good. Came with rice which was also pretty good. However, the portion size was below average for the price and I believe this dish should have come with Garli Naan Blissc which shouldn't have to be purchased separately. For the price, I won't be returning. Nonetheless, the food was excellent."
"I ordered Barfi. and a completely different /wrong dessert came. There was a buy one get one free Garlic Naan Bliss, so I ordered this special, but only one naan was provided and it was burnt. The food was not consistent with what I ordered. The sauce on the Chicken Tikka Masala broke and was oily. I would not order again."

"Was super surprised to see a new Thai restaurant and had to order. So glad I did, the food was delicious! Their Tom Kha soup was different from Tom Kha soup I've tried at other restaurants, but it was incredible either way. Will def be ordering from here again and can't wait to try something new! "
"I admit I was a bit disappointed by the Vegan Tom Kha for the price. I expected a bit more soup with the vegetables. The taste was a bit mild for what I expected. The Vegan Thai Basil was also s but under-spiced."

"This place has the best Egg Dum Biryani and the quantity does justice to the price. "
"Ordered a C5 Chicken Tikka Masla and Tandoori Rotti i. The chicken was delicious, but unfortunately, it was excessively oily, making the overall dish too greasy compared to other Indian restaurants. Additionally, the Tandoori Roti seemed to be made with more white flour than wheat flour, which I didn't enjoy, and it too was overly oily.
In another separate order, we tried the Navratan Korma, which was also excessively greasy. I wish they would use less oil in their cooking; I prioritize both taste and health when dining out. It's a good restaurant to eat in if you just care about the taste."

"this is a new one for me. I really loved the combo of sweet and spicy in Samosa Chat.
the Aloo Paratha stuffed w mashed potatoes was really food as well. it also soothed the spiciness of Samosa Chaat"
"My rice is yellow as if someone has already started eating my food. The dal has a piece of meat inside of it and a gamey taste like goat or lamb this was the worst experience from an Indian restaurant. why waste and play with ppl hard earned money."

"As always the Kashmiri Naan was excellent. They even put a sizeable amount of raisins in it. I'm happy, because I luv raisins.
The Vegetable Samosa were excellent also.
I did not like The Veggie Pakora. I'm sure it was air fried because It was not crispy-It was kinda soft. A mouthful of mush"
"I order from (or dine at) Saffron in Bala Cynwyd sometimes. This is a different Saffron completely, and not as good. Samosas are very salty outside and mushy inside. All of the sauces are quite runny. The flavors aren't bad, so maybe it's better when it's not so late at night?"

"That was the BEST Gobi Manchurian and Plain Naan I have had in years. The Chicken Tikka Masala had delicious but the chicken portion was rather small for the price. "
"I got the butter chicken and cheese naan. Butter chicken was pretty good. It was creamy, rich, tangy, and had a good amount of chicken to suffice for a meal. The cheese naan however, was flimsy and had no cheese in it at all. Overall, I think this place is a little overpriced but I would still try to order again "

"both the 44. Lamb or Goat Korma and the 67. Saag Paneer were super tasty, and the 87. Peshwari Naan was generously flavored and stuffed. I wish the portion sizes were bigger for the price, but that's probably the cost of survival in this economy"
