"Their Pizzas and Calzones are the best for any sub shop in the area, the pizza is more of a Greek Style Pizza, which is pretty common for the area, but done the best out of the competition it faces. The Hot Buffalo Fingers are great, good quality pieces of chicken, and they do not skimp on the servings which is nice to see, I feel like it is easy for places to do that with delivery services since there is no customer/restaurant face-to-face but they guys care and put in good effort to their food. "I grew up with Sals and it has always been one of my favorites. The problem is, their prices are astronomically high. Two pizza's with two toppings is over $50, while others in the area are $35-$40. I get inflation and fresh ingredients, but come on, we're not talking about fine dining, it's pizza.
With that said, their pizza is like home to me, so I'll still order a few times a year. Its dough is crispy, yet fluffy. The sauce is real, not paste and it has chunks of delicious tomato's. The cheese is real mozzarella not a mix, so it just comes out cooked to perfection. The toppings are always fresh, but their sliced sausage is the only sausage I like on pizza. They just do a great job."
