"Most delicious meal I've had in ages!! The goat and oxtail were both very flavorful and perfectly cooked. I love spicy food and I though it was perfect, but might be too spicy for some people. Very generous portion and the sides were great as well. Loved that they took care in packaging the meal - the box was tightly wrapped in cling film and there was no spillage at all. "I like the samosas here, and I’m a regular customer because they taste good. However, one thing that consistently disappoints me is the chutney portion.
When you order 5 samosas, they usually provide only one small container of red chutney. Sometimes they’ll give you an extra one if you ask, but it’s inconsistent.
As an Indian restaurant, this is surprising to me. In India, it’s very uncommon for a samosa shop to serve five samosas with such a limited amount of chutney.
What’s even more disappointing is that if you want green chutney, you have to pay extra around $1 or $2 for a small container. I honestly don’t think the cost of making a little green chutney justifies charging extra, especially when the samosas themselves are already reasonably priced.
The pricing on DoorDash is also frustrating. Even with a DoorDash membership, the samosas cost about $2 more than ordering directly, yet you still don’t get extra red chutney or even a small serving of green chutney included.
The food is good, which is why I keep coming back, but the restaurant could really improve the overall customer experience by being a little more generous with the chutney. It’s a small gesture that would make a big difference and would better reflect the hospitality people expect from an Indian restaurant."
