"I love the way they package the handrolls so the Nori stays crispy. The Chu-toro was kind of stringy & fishy. I wish it had more fresh wasabi. The Spicy Tuna had a chili oil that I wasn't a fan of. It made the roll eat greasy. The Hokkaido Scallop was great; fresh & the other ingredients added texture. The Salmon Toro / Salmon Belly was also good, but I've had better, fatter, more melt in your mouth salmon toro before. I hated the Spicy Edamame. The seasoning was not spicy & I didn't like the huge chunks of onion added. They also included jalapeños, but should have tried serranos to make it actually spicy. Not sure if I'd bother again."

"I think I'm in love...I dined in at this restaurant 10 years ago and it was sooo good. Since then I have ordered from 30+ sushi restaurants in sf and throughout Bay Area. And i remembered this place when scrolling for sushi, but the rolls here are a bit more pricy than other sushi places. BUT man it was worth every extra dollar because GOD THIS PLACE HAS GOOD SUSHI ROLLS. Hands down, This is def my favorite sushi restaurant! They included all the sides I asked for, and even threw in some extra deep fried spider crab. "

"I tell you one thing, I order from here often so I know what I order taste like. I get my usual and this time, wow it was so nasty. I can instantly tell there was a problem when it smelt so dang fishy and california rolls dont smell this way. Then the avocados are brown and mushy. Ugh money wasted "

"First time out with Kazoku, and it was very good. I liked it all but particularly the Scallop and Bluefin Tuna sashimi. Missing were a good selection for walu/escolar and one of my basic needs in any sushi bar, a good clean (no hot sauce) salmon skin roll! Everything I did get was high-quality and made with care - the nigiri is a little strange because it comes on such a small bite of rice, but otherwise fine - so I will be back and I do recommend trying these guys out."

"The chirashi bowl was very high quality but not enough rice. Hot and cold rolls were packed together and covered in wasabi. Hard to feed to a child. Dipping sauce for tempura was not great. Only one soy sauce. No chop sticks. "

I was expecting when I ordered 2 specialty rolls that it was going to be too much food since at other places it usually is. Not here... I'm still hungry & not impressed. "I'm a sushi lover! I've tried this restaurant twice. First tine I pick obe item from the recommended list. Sushi was warm and has extra sauce to it. It wasn't bad but the flavor was coming mainly from the sauce rather than the sushi. I give it another chance... other two other type of sushi roll (Dragon and California). Once again, it wasn't bad but the flavor and freshness was not there. Portion were fairly standard, prices a little high (but seems standard based on the location. If I'm really hungry I might order again... but I'll continue my search for the freshness that characterizes the sushi"

"I got a roll with purple on top and I guess some like caviar. AMAZINg. good texture, smooth, creamy, melts in your mouth. There's on with whitesauce on top. Creamy, rich. Very good! Not a lot of sushi places around i can say this for. It's very intricate. I don't normally do reviews either "

"I thought there were 3 shrimps, I can be wrong but definitely not worth the price for 2 shrimps. Oyster were delicious and Spider Roll is good. We didn't get any wasabi or soy packets. Now I know why it's on the menu. It's a shame that the world we live in starts charging condiments that use to complementary. For now we will have to stop ordering from this place."
