Would have received better fruit from a Motel 6 continenti breakfast. 2) Braised Short Ribs - meat was confusingly dry throughout, with what appeared to be a turkey gravy - definitely not the promised red wine sauce and definitely not an appropriate amount. Meat was flavorless, although the (wrong) sauce was tasty. Carrots had a nice bite, but once again: zero seasoning. Everything lacked the juicy depth of flavor normally associated with this dish. I'm going to pick out the choice bites and turn the rest into a soup. Mashed potato side was delicious and extremely generous portion - far more potatoes than meat in this dish. 3) Garlic Mashed Potatoes - I'm saving these for later, but for $9, you're getting a scoop that looks to be about 6-8 oz. Tasty, but that's very expensive! I spent almost a day's wages treating myself and got slightly more than 1 meal's worth of mediocre food... I would consider Lake Chalet to be a huge waste of money. Maybe the charm lies in eating at the actual restaurant...?"

"First time ordering from here, but it won't be my last. Everything arrived as ordered. I was pleasantly surprised in the packaging. My food came in a nice big paper bag, unlike most Mexican restaurants that use flimsy plastic bags. Even the Chips + Avocado Sauce + Salsa were in a nice resealable paper bag. The chips seemed fresh and light, not greasy and similar to Chipotle's chips, but not as salty. I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito, and it was good. Good portion size and flavorful. The Quesadilla de Queso was good and not greasy either. It came with lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and packets of their avocado sauce and salsa. Overall, the presentation seemed high end, but the food cost cheaper than other Mexican restaurants. Will definitely order from here again."

Half of my Classic Spicy Beef Noodles Soup - Bún Bò Huế (GF) was in the bottom of the plastic bag and, when I lifted the container, it had a leak at the seam that was spouting liquid. The Bún Bó Hué was still really good, though. The broth was light but beefy and flavorful and they don't skimp on the tendon and brisket. Definitely, o ne of the best in the bay. "

"I have never had a restaurant overcharge me $4 for chili oil. Beware... if you ask for a little bit of chili oil, they will make additional charges to your order on top of the overpriced $22 BBH. The BBH was good but the portions were so small. I would expect that since it is $22, the portions would be bigger, but no, the portion was not worth. There are other Vietnamese restaurants in the Bay Area with bigger portions + taste more authentic. The packaging is very eco friendly. I will not be reordering from this restaurant."

The fish was cooked well enough, but the breading could have been crispier; this did not crunch. I also got the Bbq Tri-Tip Sandwich. It was decently sized; not too small, not huge. The bread was as expected. The meat was very good! There was a good amount of fat on the medium-large chunks of meat -- i personally love that, as it's sad when chunks are nothing but lean. It comes with a side, and I chose the potato salad. The potatoes were cooked well enough to not be hard (on the raw side). "I pre-ordered this for delivery two hours later. The dasher delivered everything on time and I immediately started eating. So excuses of delivery delays of me not eating it right away do not factor into this. My turkey pesto sandwich was so soggy, it was like a sponge. One side was also very burnt, but the sogginess made scraping the burnt section off easier, so there's that. It was also room temperature cold - and since they grill it like a panini, my guess is that they made it very early, then left it to sit and the condensation made it soggy. (The inside of the container was full of water droplets.) The amount of turkey was also very light - the sandwich was practically flat. The chai tea was good (very spicy), the pesto flavoring on the sandwich was good, and the side salad was good. But for over $20 total for a turkey sandwich and the tiniest chai tea I've ever seen, I expected much more than spongy, burnt and cold bread."

"My favorite burrito is the chile relleno. I was disappointed with the look, taste, and portion. First, the burrito wasn't tightly rolled or shaped like a burrito. Instead,it was over stuffed with rice and looked sloppy. Second, the rice and whole pinto beans needed seasoning. Finally, too much bland rice and beans overpowered the chili relleno. Although this is not a glowing review, I will return. La Pinta is a wonderful cute pink restaurant. The staff are courteous and attentive.
