"I've been ordering the same things from Taco Bell for like, decades now give or take the occasional curiosity I get when they have something new that sounds good. (the last time I was so daring was when the pink starburst freeze came out..lol) On a whim I decided to try out a couple of the Cantina items. The Cantina Chicken Quesadilla was good, it was like the typical chicken quesadilla but with way better chicken than the usual kind they use. The texture is similar, like if you tried to shred the original kind, but the flavor is bomb. Took a gamble on this since it’s one: a salad, and 2, sounds pretty non-Italian, haha. But it was good! The dressing was like a sweet chili sauce that was sweet and savory. The filet mignon was tender and I didn’t feel they were skimping on it. The mango was young (not ripe) and there were chuck of avocado. The only think I didn’t care for was the fried noodles. Not sure how this would look if we had ordered in, but this take-out dish was massive!
We ended up with so much leftover. Pelican Pasta serves both quality and quantity and I can’t wait to dine-in!"

2) Braised Short Ribs - meat was confusingly dry throughout, with what appeared to be a turkey gravy - definitely not the promised red wine sauce and definitely not an appropriate amount. Meat was flavorless, although the (wrong) sauce was tasty. Carrots had a nice bite, but once again: zero seasoning. Everything lacked the juicy depth of flavor normally associated with this dish. I'm going to pick out the choice bites and turn the rest into a soup. Mashed potato side was delicious and extremely generous portion - far more potatoes than meat in this dish.
3) Garlic Mashed Potatoes - I'm saving these for later, but for $9, you're getting a scoop that looks to be about 6-8 oz. Tasty, but that's very expensive!
I spent almost a day's wages treating myself and got slightly more than 1 meal's worth of mediocre food... I would consider Lake Chalet to be a huge waste of money. Maybe the charm lies in eating at the actual restaurant...?"
